It has table seating outside under shelter and has folding main Windows all round that make it so much better in good weather.
An Italian restaurant with a choice of seating areas inside, small drinks bar and toilets. The menu is smaller than a lot of places but there is a wide selection on either the main or lunch menu. Similar story with drinks including non-alcoholic beer for the driver!
We tried the lunch menu (exceptional value - check out their website for details and good prices). The food is excellent. The calamari starter is one of the best available. Starters are generous and, indeed, none of the courses seem to have been reduced to match lower lunch prices. The breadcrumbed chicken breast was succulent and the sea bass risotto was extremely good with the sea bass being cooked properly including crisping the skin. 3 scoops of Italian gelato to finish were deliciously creamy (other desserts available).
Staff (we were served by an excellent person called Ben) are friendly, helpful and efficient.
Being new it is ultra clean with a modern interior design. Likewise the toilets are clean.
Great place if you live locally but actually worth travelling to of you don't. But be prepared for a repeat visit -...
Read moreIt's sad as we love this restaurant, went this week and they have changed the menu and removed the food we loved. Bruschetta - now only as "trio" mixture, 2 of which my wife cannot eat and no choice to simply have 3 tomato ones? Antipasto starter - now available only for 2 sharing! how hard is it dish up a single portion! T Bone steak, loved this with chips. No longer available Other steaks only 8oz and must come with veg, plus another £3.50 for chips if you like chips with a few veg? no larger steaks available Pizza salami "picante" - nope just salami and some oil, wife asked for fresh green chilli's we we have had loads of time - none on it. We were disappointed to say the least with the new menu because this is a good restaurant, in our view they have tried something for the worse so now on search for another one in the area until the menu...
Read moreNever Again. They advertise that they close at 3.00pm. This usually means that the kitchen stops cooking at 3.00. In theory customers could walk it at 2.55 and still be able to order. Be aware, we arrived at 2.20 walked in and found a table. After a short time a waiter appeared and we asked if where we were sitting was acceptable. The response was, where you are sitting is fine, but can you manage to eat and finish by 3.00? What a welcome! That and the “heavy mob” smoking and gathered outside the side of the building and very average food, spaghetti carbonara had absolutely no flavour at all means we won’t return. We used to go there regularly when it was Valentinos. But what a terrible difference. We will never return and would not recommend this...
