new update 10-10-2019 : The place is cozy ,the attention is good, however my overall experience was absolutely negative. I can ignore that they don't make "cortado" coffee, so I asked for an espresso instead. To eat, they offered me a cheese and tomato Panini when I ordered a cheese sandwich on Brown bread, as they also told me they didn't do this sandwich. So after 15 minutes wait, finally arrived my Panini. ( My coffe was already cold at this point ,as they bring the coffee quickly) The Panini was impossible to eat after the first bite, since it had a totally exaggerated amount of basil, an ingredient that was not even announced to me as part of the panini when I ordered. I can tolerate basil as a specie, but the amount on this Panini was totally ridiculous, disproportionate and only suitable for a ruminant animal, such a cow, which I am not. I wasted my money. I will not try luck in this place again. Definitely I'm not coming back and I don't recommend this place either. Below pictures of that uneatable " Basil Panini". Old review: Cozy and comfy place, staff is incredibly professional, excellent service. But.... Im You are a coffee lover, definitely this is not the place for you. I had a latte and it seemed to be prepared with nescafé, not...
Read moreBeen going to Grupo nearly every week for years, but after waiting for a year through lockdown to get back there we were very disappointed. Most of the food was cold when it arrived, missing fillings in the burger, and the portions of bang bang noodles were nothing like previously, hardly anything in the bowl and luke warm. We tried asking the server but he just said that's how it always is. We didn't realise it was all pretty cold at that point, and was a long time until another member of staff asked how the food was. When I told her she apologised and said she would ask the manager to pop up to discuss, but then she reappeared to say the manager had offered us a round of drinks. Told her we were driving, was offered soft drinks or a dessert. I'm diabetic so no good really, and not exactly a substitute for the lack of hot food. My son had a brownie on the house and I left hungry and without an apology from the manager, who never appeared. The management used to be first class, we were regular customers and felt appreciated spending money there, what happened? We spent almost £80, in an industry which has suffered terribly I'd imagine they'd want to retain regular customers who spend their time and money there, week after week, year after year but...

First thing first, I absolutely love the decor. It's decorated really nicely, I love the games you have (monopoly, scrabble etc) and the fact you offer a book exchange, I think that's so lovely. Also, the roof terrace is lovely!
The food is also really nice, a really great menu. Probably one of the best menus I've seen, really nice diverse menu.
The only thing, the absolute only thing, is the staff. Unfortunately they are really, really rude. They have no manners and don't say please or thank you. The gentleman with tattoos (specifically him) tutted at my mother for ordering drinks after her food, and made a big fuss about her not knowing the table number. He didn't smile, or say please and thank you and she was rather annoyed by this.
Also, the other guy behind the bar with dark short hair, he walks around with a face like a slapped backside, sorry. The most miserable man I've ever met, and would strongly urge him to reconsider his career in a customer facing role.
Overall, location and food great! I'm sure some staff are great, just so happened today they weren't.
Manners cost...
