First time trying Batida after seeing some decent reviews online and overall it did not disappoint! Don't be fooled by the reasonably small exterior as it's quite spacious inside, spread over 2 floors. The staff were all really friendly and whilst it took a little while to get initially served, I appreciate it was a Saturday night and extremely busy so not a huge issue. Once served food and drinks arrived pretty quickly! The cocktails were all really tasty and reasonably priced too, with a decent sized menu so plenty to try. The food was great, we opted for multiple small dishes to share rather than an individual meal each and I think that is definitely the way to go as again there were lots of great options to chose from on the menu. Whilst big inside there are lots of tables so it can be quite cosy so perhaps not one if you were looking for a much quieter meal out. There is also a cigar menu if that's your thing as well, so you're well catered for. Overall a great experience, well priced, decent food and drinks and definitely one I would go back to without hesitation!

Five stars given based on the amazing Mexican food and value for money! I went on a Tuesday and the team are serving up delicious margs and tasty tacos single or sharing deals: - 2 tacos and one marg for £12.50 - 4 tacos and 2 margs for £24.50 - 6 tacos and 6 margs for £35 The tacos were brimming with filling with the weekly special - lamb and a red wine jus - being our favourite. Also they do the best nachos in the city. We then finished the meal with bougie churros that had chocolate running through the middle It was lovely to see this little spot buzzing on a Tuesday night Follow me on Instagram for more food reviews: @hungry_hesketh

I am Peruvian, and I have tried this restaurant twice. Firstly, service and atmosphere were really nice. Latin American music creates a proper LatAm vibe. You will have a variety of dishes from different countries. Drinks are ok, but consider that I didn’t order cocktails. Food. Unfortunately, we weren’t 100% happy with the food. Don’t get me wrong, it was ok, but - as a Peruvian-, I was expecting something different. I ordered a “Lomo Saltado” however as you can see from the picture this wasn’t true Lomo Saltado. Peruvian-inspired maybe, but not truly Peruvian.

We visited this place for the first time with high spectations as the ads on insta looked amazing. For the price the food is small portioned. We all left hungry eventhough we had eaten before and had a couple starters at the place. The cocktails not bad but a bit watery for my taste. Of a total of 3hrs we waited for the food nearly 2. Firstly not sure for which reason some other big table was served before, that took a while, and after because the waitresse accidentally didn't put my full order so we needed to reorder 2 more dishes which were to come with other sides instead of what we wanted, and again the amount very poorly. On top of that you had to pay 10% of service charge for a service I didn't like at all. I have mixed feelings though because the staff were generally well mannered and the food (although in general too spicy for our taste) the bits we could eat properly without our tongues burnt (because the sauce came separately) were really nice. I am wondering if we should give them another chance and state since the beginning no spicy at all. I went there as a Latinamerican cuisine place and they must now that we are not all Mexican who like spiciness. That should be optional but not in every sauce we find inside your meal or at least state in the menu that everything is spicy from level 1to 3 or whatever. I felt disappointed, I think I will try somewhere else....

Firstly the food was brilliant. The rest was shocking though: it took 4 hours for our prebooked group to eat 2 courses and pay.. every order of drinks or minor request took at least 30 minutes. the tap water tasted like pool water somehow? Undrinkable but we didn’t mention it as there were so many other issues they had an offer on their menu of 6 margaritas and 3 beers for £35 but said the bar staff refused to accept us ordering this. Instead we ordered 6 individual margaritas and 3 beers but said we expected to pay £35, the waitress laughed and nodded but when she brought the bill it was instead £62 for these items.. we did this twice so they tried to overcharge us by £32.. they still refused to budge so the only way to get the money back was to remove the service charge and withdraw any tip. they also ran out of empanadas but still tried to charge us for them (£14) everything was just so slow.. any drinks, food, getting plates, iterations of the bill..

I’d love to come back for the food but it’s not worth the level of service… they had loads of staff but they just seemed like they were all on a trial shift on a Saturday night or something?

Hope they improve...
