I had a very pleasant stay at Beech House in Bristol. The apartment really stood out with all the thoughtful details. The check-in information was sent promptly before arrival, so the process went smoothly. The facilities were excellent: a washing machine and dryer with laundry pods, an iron, a coffee machine with plenty of capsules, and even delicious biscuits. The kitchen was very well equipped with pots, pans, and tableware, and the stove was easy to use. I stayed in a studio, and the bathroom was surprisingly spacious. The bedding was very comfortable, and I particularly appreciated that the pillows were the perfect height. The bedside table had charging outlets, which was very convenient. Overall, the studio felt cozy, practical, and very well thought out. The location was also quiet, which made the stay more relaxing. When I extended my stay, the team replied quickly and even offered me a discount, which I really appreciated. The only downside was that my studio was on the top floor. Carrying heavy luggage up the stairs was not very convenient. Apart from that, everything was excellent.

Booked Beech House because of its location and free parking (either onsite or literally over the road). Entry to the apartment was so easy, communal areas were spotless and the room - WOW! Stunning, comfy and immaculate. We stayed in room 9. My husband and I celebrated 20 years here and it was a fab stay. It has everything you need if you were to stay a few days with everything you need and a well equipped kitchen. Fab little treasure! Well done Team Urban!

Great stay as usual. I often stay in the Beech House when I'm working down in Bristol, it is ideal as you have your own kitchen and washing machine if you want to travel light. Good location for working in Clifton and a pretty quiet area with plenty of places to eat in walking distance.

The rooms' mix of contemporary and Georgian styles is very tasteful, and the kitchen area is clean and modern. The Clifton area is also very nice, and the Clifton Suspension Bridge is within walking distance. The number 8 bus from Temple Meads Railway Station will take you within a five-minute walk of the property.|The only problem I had was with the heating, which was the same problem I had the last time I stayed. The radiators did not come on even though it was -2 outside. I telephoned a lady from Urban Apartments and she came out and saw that the radiators were not working and brought a portable heater to the room which was not powerful enough to heat a large room. I must say that this same lady seemed a little argumentative over the telephone bearing in mind she was dealing with paying customers. When I made a complaint regarding the matter upon returning home, a representative from Urban Apartments mitigated that no compensation was merited because I was offered a change of room. This was not the case, The lady that came out made it clear that the option of a change of room was only warranted if a portable heater could not be found. Urban Apartments also said the problem was with the thermostat that needed turning up However, the lady who came out never mentioned a thermostat even though I directed her to a cupboard by the door where there were switches. She maintained that all the switches were fine. Note: other reviewers on Booking.com have detailed the heating problem at...

Positives : clean bedding and towels, very comfortable bed, useful kitchen, large shower room, central location Negatives : The Livvi App was complicated and clunky to use. The apartment was on the top floor, so access was up six flights of steep stairs with no lift which was not in the property description. Because it was in the eaves the apartment was very hot. Because of generic pictures on the website it was not apparent that the bed was against the wall on one side, so no bedside table on one side, which is unacceptable. There was limited headroom on two sides, but especially where the settee was, it was impossible to sit without hitting your head on the ceiling. There was no drawer space for clothing, and no stand for suitcases. There was no shower caddy in the shower and the small shower head riser attachment was broken so this could not be adjusted above chest height. The bathroom floor was dirty, had obviously not been cleaned because the underside of the bathmat had dirty marks. The living room floor had not been cleaned, the coffee machine had not been cleaned and the drinking glasses in the cupboard were dirty. Overall, a very disappointing standard of cleanliness and omission of significant details in property description. Had the issues regarding restricted headroom and the stairs been clear I would not have booked...

After a long journey, I arrived one evening and immediately noticed a very strong smell of gas in entrance and hallway. I rang the contact line and was put through to an out of hours security guard. He contacted the emergency contact for me and then I called him back for an update. I was told that it can wait until tomorrow. |I was worried as the smell was so strong so I called out South West Utilities emergency line and had a few calls with them. They arrived and after some reluctance over the phone, Beech House contact gave them the access code for the gas room next to the entrance where the smell was coming from. The gas engineer spent several hours identifying many leaks coming out of the gas meters in there. |Alarmed at the following:|- Lazy and irresponsible dangerous attitude to want to leave something like a gas smell until a day later|- The fact the maintenance hadnt been carried out to prevent leaks in the gas meters|- The fact that noone bothered to attend in person when they knew gas engineer utilities were on site|- The fact that I put this in their feedback and noone bothered to respond|- I spent most of my evening dealing with this|I will never...
