I got a 30th birthday cake here and it was the most delightful airy vanilla and pistachio flavoured cake with pistachios all over the outside of the cake. The face of the cake had this gorgeous display of sugared flowers and a picture was printed on. It was simply the best cake I’ve had and everyone else relished in the cake so much it didn’t take long to finish. The man himself, from welcoming me into Bristanbul, to helping me decide, taking my order and to me collecting the cake was very heartwarmingly kind and paid attention to every detail and the fact offered the nicest customer service I’ve had in a long time. I usually order from Patisserie Valerie for birthday cakes but they are quite pricey so after checking the reviews of this one, I decided to give jt a go. I ordered strawberry and creme birthday cake. The decoration is good. However the taste is awful. The cake has a very strong taste of alcohol as if it’s already gone off. The sponge is very dry and flakey. The filling is too sweet. It’s nothing like the cake from Patisserie Valerie which is moistured and soft. You get what you pay for. I will definitely not buy from here again. If you want to buy a pretty cake for someone else, you can try this one as it’s reasonably priced and is well decorated.
