Suyuan Bistro — Restaurant in Bristol

Suyuan Bistro is my new favourite home from home. The owner is like your favourite aunty: warm, bubbly and wonderfully welcoming. The team of staff are friendly and attentive, effortlessly taking care of all needs. Even Lottie the little dog (now Suyuan celebrity) was welcomed warmly. The food selection looks glorious yet so far I've gone back three times for the unique and scrumptious Chinese breakfast! Tofu, greens, mushrooms, avocado, potato/onion cakes, Chinese bread and chilli nutty dipping sauce (see photo attached). I've also tried the coconut and lotus pancakes which are delightfully moreish. We LOVE the original Su Yuan down by the Harbour and we just knew we needed go try this place. We were not dissapointed!!

Firstly, the staff are really wonderful, attentive and really passionate about the business and serving up delicious food.

I really loved a dish that they used to sell at the original restaurant, so they went out to buy the ingredients to make it especially for me. I didn't even need to ask, they are just that wonderful that they went out of their way to do that. It just wasn't a problem.

I ate the vegetarian menu and my partner had the meat options. Everything was really delicious!!

The decor in this place is really beautiful and comfortable. It all looks very high end, with the added bonus of the prices being really reasonable!!

Portion sizes are quite large. We left feeling very satisfied and full!!

This is a new place with an extensive breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. I had the Suyuan Special breakfast of pan fried tofu, spinach, home-made potato and onion cake, avocado, mushroom, served with garlic & chilli sauce and toasted Chinese bread. It was absolutely delicious and one of the most tasty breakfasts I’ve had. The coffee is really good, and strong. The service was excellent and I so loved the whole vibe of this place. I will definitely be revisiting to explore their dinner menu.

And so I returned in the evening to sample the amazing authentic Chinese cuisine. I had the tofu stick, shiitake mushrooms and bamboo curry with jasmine rice. It was wonderful service and our group was given dumplings to try which were truly sumptuous. I so loved the relaxed atmosphere and ambience of this restaurant with the soulful music.
