Cafe Spice — Restaurant in Bristol

Quite literally the most awful customer service I've received in years. Their website stated that the order was not accepted as the restaurant was "On holiday". It showed that the order was cancelled. We then placed an order elsewhere. Despite this issue, the food arrived - and the owner refused to accept a return or refund.

Your website does not function correctly and you blame the customer? Absolutely atrocious behaviour. Was incredibly rude on phone and would not listen to a word I said about the issue with their website.

Would not recommend, what-so-ever. To top it off, the food was sub-par. The owner of this establishment needs to climb in to a bin.

Regarding your response: Do you honestly think I believe that you would have recorded information from a complaint that's two years old? Hopefully your website is fixed by now and not charging people for orders while stating your establishment is closed. No intention to return. First...

Got a chicken tikka madras, garlic rice, peshwari naan and a can of tango delivered. Didn’t read delivery notes so ended up going down the road in my socks to find the person that couldn’t find my flat. Got home to find I had a can of 7up (which I hate).

All the food looked good. Tasted the curry and it was like a mouthful of salt. I literally couldn’t taste anything but salt. It was inedible. The rest of the food was fine so I called them and they just brushed it off and said there was nothing they could do.

Not willing to just let this be the end of it, I took the curry back to the restaurant in the hope they would taste it and give me a refund. They refused to taste it (red flag) and also refused to refund my £6.95 🙄, Insisting they would just cook me another one, which I refused. I left empty handed. No curry, wrong drink, average rice and bread. Would never get anything from them ever...

Ordered this as was staying in Bristol for the night for father's day and this was a "treat". The tandoori chicken starter for £3.99 was crucified and the size of a chicken wing. Chicken tikka main had 6 pieces of chicken in it but my daughter said the sauce and chicken were nice. My chicken pathia was a nice hotness and lots of chicken but it wasn't nice chicken it wasn't tender if was quite hard. The pilau rice was clumpy and no better than boiled rice. The delivery was half hour late even though we ordered two hours before we stated the time we would like it and the driver said he had been trying to call me but I had no missed calls. The chips were therefore cold but I wouldn't have had them anyway as there was not nearly enough for two people and they were fries that didn't look very nice so got thrown away. The pathia sauce was also full of onion whereas normally it's a smooth paste curry....
