Gillians — Restaurant in Bristol

Gillians is always fantastic! Their staff are very lovely and accommodating even during peak periods such as lunch and dinner times. As they're so popular there are times when they may not have what you wanted from their extensive menu however they're always happy to suggest something similar that you may like. Their food is very very good, their ingredients are delivered weekly so you know what you'll be getting is fresh! Personally I love their baps, which are absolutely humongous and bigger than my face, they're perfectly filled and inexpensive for what you get. They also stock pre-packaged snacks such as crisps and sweets which are priced at the usual price points but their crowning glory are the cakes they make! Their flapjack and rocky road in particular are to die for! There are also other bits and bobs that they keep in stock such as tinned food, pasta, and household cleaning supplies. Food is ok and reasonably priced. A previous rating I gave was 4 star, however they not enforcing face coverings mandate.

I used to frequent Gillian's regularly, but wont enter the building knowing other selfish people have done so without wearing a face covering as it puts my elderly relatives at risk. It is not difficult to wear something when you are in the building, it is not a huge challenge, it is not a "breach of your rights", and it is for the benefit of your fellow Bristolians.

Unless they do enforce this mandate, I will no longer buy from here meaning they have lost a long standing...

A proper walk in hot food takeaway, situated on the outer skirts of Bristol. There is plenty of street parking. The shop has a few items on shelves you could buy, mostly household goods, washing up liquid, tin foil, tins of beans, and a fridge with milk and soft drinks. The food is tasty and good value for money. Lots of baguette style breakfast options, burgers, jacket potatoes, chips... think food on the go!
