I tried their gluten free pizza after being recommended it by so many people. I have tried many of the gf pizzas available in Bristol and was really excited for this one after hearing such good things! I hope management will take my feedback in a positive manner and my suggestions on board perhaps. :)

Firstly, the pizza came really fast. I ordered via a delivery app and it was with me in 15 minutes. So this aspect was great.

Secondly their dough is delicious. Really tasty. They have got their recipe just right. The crusts were absolutely amazing and probably joint top with the best GF pizza crusts I’ve tried!

However, the rest of the pizza (where the toppings are) was far too thick. Like double the thickness it should be, and it was not cooked properly.

It was stodgy, thick and weighed a tonne in the box and in my stomach.

I ate maybe two slices and then threw the rest of the pizza away, except for the crusts which I ate (they nailed this part).

For a £20 pizza, this was quite upsetting. I am not someone who throws away food or wastes money if I can possibly help it.

There was also way too much cheese, in my opinion. This added to the overall stodgy and heavy feeling of the pizza.

It was more like a New York style, deep pan pizza and quite greasy too. Albeit I did order one with nduja so this was probably the reason for the greasiness. Again, I threw most of the greasy parts away as they were dripping with oil and I found that quite off putting.

If I had known it would be a deep pan style pizza I would not have ordered since I don’t enjoy eating this much food in one go. I don’t feel good after and plus this base was so thick that it was very gummy, almost like it was raw dough.

I think that most GF diners are on the more health conscious side of things. And are probably(??) hoping for a thin and crispier pizza, more like a regular pizza that is made with a wholewheat base.

I’d like to suggest to management with full respect and appreciation of the craft that has gone into creating their delicious gluten free dough (I know it’s not easy), that they work to make the main base of the GF pizza much thinner. I think this would be more appealing to most customers and certainly to me.

I wouldn’t try the gluten free pizza here again as it stands now but also, I know maybe my experience was a one off. And I stand by what I said about the crusts being the best I’ve tried! Joint with one GF pizza chain I tried in Madrid.

I hope management take my comments with the respect with which I...

"La Campagnuola" A real gem of a restaurant. Italian cuisine with excellent pizza. I recently tried this pizza restaurant for a couple of dinners. I must say that I was amazed by the quality, the generosity and the presentation of the dishes. The use of fresh and homemade products characterizes this restaurant. Everything is home made. Nothing is done by chance or without careful analysis and study. Upon viewing the various dishes, one immediately perceives the love for cooking and the dedication to their customers. Quality, Harmony And joy are the must. Friendliness, honesty and preparation of the staff guide you on a journey to discover taste. The family atmosphere is perceived among the owners, collaborators and employees. Went for dinner to amuse ourselves with an excellent pizza, we could not contain ourselves in tasting a couple of further delicacies., From ravioli (home made) stuffed with ricotta and spinach in butter cream and Sage with drops of pesto, garnished with Crunchy zucchini with julienne fritter, to top it off, the experience ended with a delicate bailyes cream panna cotta decorated with a sponge of caramel strands. From the evening to the following morning I was accompanied by the memory of the flavors and smells of the lived experience. A return to the youth of an authentic Sicily And a lover of taste and family. Thanks guys, there will certainly be other occasions to honor you. ...

Visited La Campagnuola for a friend birthday and had meant to review it sooner, but I genuinely couldn't remember how to spell it!

One of the better Italian restaurants in the area in my opinion, a good sized restaurant with a varied menu. Reasonably priced wine by the carafe as well, which was ideal for the large party we went with.

I skipped starters straight on to a fillet steak, unfortunately this was overcooked, I had asked for a medium and it was well done (and on its way to being overdone.) Although slightly disappointed, I can say that I was the only one to order steak and all 12+ dishes came out at roughly the same time so I'm going to put that down to difficult timings. When explained to the waiter he quickly apologised and went a whole new dish soon appeared which was cooked perfectly.

Everyone else enjoyed their dishes with a mix of mostly pasta and pizzas and the service was excellent throughout.

I'd definitely choose La Campagnuola over one of Bristol's chain...

Super 5 stars, great Italian restaurant, most of the menù courses are original Italian recipes, and some are a fusion bristol/Italian, and they match really well, we had caponata, which is aubergine and other vegetables on a thin crunchy bruschetta, so delicious, (see picture) I loved it, then arancini of the day, with lamb and pistacchio, this is a fusion recipe and it works so well. Then we had pizza, was good, really good, pollo filippo that is a chicken boneless drumstick filled with sausage and bacon, soo tasty, finishing with lovely well made tiramisu, and a extragreat lemon cheesecake that was perfect. Also the rosato sicilia wine was perfect, sweet and fruity. They offer us a limoncello to close the dinner, appreciated. Service quick, and staff makes you feel at home. For about 1 hour I forgot that I was in the England and I thought I was in a little restaurant in Italy. Well done guys, thanks for the experience.
