Lodge peri chicken — Restaurant in Bristol

Me and my bf used to come to this place once a week, sometimes even twice a week because the food was good and the young lad in there was nice but recently we walked in to order food and I asked a question to the older gentleman about a deal they had and if it came with chips (in my defence, the screen had a picture of the deal but did not say it came with chips) and the guy was insanely rude. He kept saying “read this, what does it say?” And pointing at a menu on the table. He kept asking us “Can you read and understand English?” l So when we asked him why he was being so rude and confronted him he kept saying we were wasting his time and he didn’t spend 2 grand printing menus for people to ask stupid questions. We tried to explain why we asked and told him there was no need to be so rude and he kept shutting us down and yelling at us. He was so unbelievably condescending towards us. After being a loyal customer I was shocked with the customer service tonight, I asked them to put some chicken away,iI told them I'll back in a hour which I do regularly so I can take my food away straight away. When I got there they'd had sold the chicken and I had to wait another 15 to 20 mins telling me I'll get fresh chicken. I wasn't happy as the whole point of me asking them to hold the chicken was that I can go straight away. The middle aged man with the beard did apologise but said he been slaving away all night and filling orders and even told me he didn't know what I was so upset with and told me to shut up which I responded with that I'm not happy with the way you spoke to me. I'm a manager at my work and if any of my staff spoke to customers like that they would be on a disciplinary or fired. Seriously thinking about never going...

I puchaced two dishes to share with two of my Children, as we decided to visit for first time.

Jerk Chicken rice & peas,(Hot) they must use an old school recipe, as when eating it reminded me of my teenage years. Layers of flavour, starting sweet then 'Bang'your hit with the heat. Stunning.

Goat rice and peas, again very traditional flavours, reminded me of being invited to my friends for dinner (tea we called it lol.) Sorry to say I can't remember the price what I had was two large meals to take away , three of us to share all full and still a little left.
