Greyhound — Restaurant in Bristol

We called there today with a view to Sunday lunch. While I went to park the car, my friend Martin went in. Having just done a training run, Martin looked a bit poverty stricken in his baggy shorts and sweatshirt, but is in fact a retired police officer and county rugby player, who does a considerable amount of work supporting charities. He was denied service, told that walk-in diners are not accepted and that cash is not accepted, only credit cards. Needless to say, we would advise everyone we know, as well as people who oppose all types of discrimination, to avoid this establishment. Stopped by to try the RGB menu, we are all proper foodies, we were excited to see what the social media buzz were on about and it started off poor and got worse unfortunately. The staff taking the orders couldn't remember anything we said and we had to repeat ourselves a number of times (on payment I was faced with a screen asking for a 30% tip to be added?) When the burgers arrived they didn't look like the ones we'd seen and once tasted, they were nothing special whatsoever, and really quite bland. The pub itself is really well done and glad to see it back open. Some amazing deals on at happy hour which is a plus. Was disappointed with the food, I know Really Good Burgers is separate from the pub but got to say the blue cheese burger was a massive let down , no real taste to it. And charging £7 for dirty fries and having a tiny bit of brisket and gravy … taste wasn’t bad but expected more. The gravy with the burger was probably the tastiest bit , but comes in a tiny little metal pot which doesn’t go far.
