Not had for a little while, bit I still remember my first....within last 18 months.

Due to medical reasons, I have very few teeth.

This meat is to die for. It melts in your mouth, which is great for me!

Everything is properly and well cooked. Even walking down the road and stopping in a coffee shop on union street, my food was still hot.

You get a fantastic portion, and this makes the prices (esp the meal deals) exceptional value ...

Hungry .. eat your own! Being polite and sharing, ....you still won't go hungry!

I love this place, just wished it was more accessible for me ... Sie to medical, I have to walk to this place from the galleries, and for me, it's hard work. ... Normals, os roughly 5 mins walk from the galleries.

Box meals, amazing.... I think I've reviewed before, but can't find pics. ... Pork, chips, and beans.

Fantastic pulled pork, and full of flavour. Chips. Not just fries, but much better. Beans ... Sorry, PIT BEANS... A ma zing, seriously. If you try nothing else have their beans. They are the dogs dangles. They taste of pure heaven, and so well cooked, not a single jean is dry or firm. They're just the best thing this side of heaven.

I promise you, if you like meat, go here. It's not a man man place, with weird beards and haircuts and no buns either.

A great bunch of people serving, and to keep it hot, they keep topping up, so a small queue can happen, but it's soon gone, and you're soon fed!

Go on, take a friend from out of Bristol here, and they'll talk about it for ages.

Ps... They also have a place on whiteladies, that also delivers...

I’m Texan so will admit to be a bit fussy when it comes to BBQ. I arrived just before closing, so my choice was limited to what was left, which I consider a sign of a good BBQ joint.

Top BBQ is indeed cooked low and slow, and is a labour of love to be appreciated…smoking meat for up to 20 hours without it drying out is a challenge. I grew up with my dad waking up throughout the night to check on the smoker outside to make sure that the fire was at the right temp, the water pan wasn’t empty, etc. Raising a baby is easier than smoking a brisket!

My pulled pork was moist and full of flavour (the staff also gave me a bit of chicken that was left which was also moist and full of taste). The coleslaw was fresh with a good crunch (and made with good quality red onion). The beans were of a mixed variety which was lovely (and they were cooked with loads of flavour - a lot of kitchens rely on adding loads of sugar but that wasn’t the case here). The mac was perfectly cheesy. I selected the house sauce which was well-balanced and just as I like it (without too much sugar, vinegar or spice).

On my next visit, I look forward to trying the brisket (and some prized burnt ends if they haven’t already been...

I've been wanting to eat here for a long time now and today it finally happened. My little dream came true, unfortunately my little dream turned into a nightmare. I had the Pulled Pork Box Meal, Fries and Pit Beans, £8.50 that cost pretty good I thought after looking at the Pics online. I was very disappointed with it as the meat was so dry I was chewing and chewing away good time, if it wasn't for all the blobs of fat on it the dogs wouldn't of chewed it. I always thought Pulled Pork was meant to fall apart in your mouth a kind of melt away thing anyway not constant chewing, I got Jaw ache chewing, it was like a very poor Beef Joint on a Sunday Dinner. There was no extra sauce put on top or in a pot for it. The Fries where lovely that's where your 1 star came from. The Milkshake was beautiful so was going to put another star for that but the price was OMG unreal. Well basically I'm very disappointed and wish I never went. OMG lol the delivery guy stood with his hand out waiting for a tip...
