DO NOT HAVE A PARTY HERE! I had my 18th birthday party here a couple of weeks ago. I rented out the top area from 8:30pm-2am, and was informed before booking that at 9:00pm all of the tables on the downstairs area would be moved to make a dance floor. Come 9:30pm and the tables had not been moved so I asked our bartender when the tables would be moved, to which he said they would get moved at 10. The tables were then literally not moved until about 11pm, and even then they were only slightly moved to the side. So anyway, at around 11:30pm when I was in the smoking area, some of my party came out and said that they had been kicked out of the area which I had rented out. I then came in to see what was going on, and my entire party had been kicked out of the area I had rented out and they had let other random people up there! I obviously asked what was going on to which they told me that some glasses had been smashed. However the glasses were only smashed by accident, and I had received no warning about anyone's behavior beforehand, so they basically kicked everyone out just because of a few glasses accidently being smashed. I was obviously fuming about this, and the bouncer was extremely rude and kept shouting at me to go down stairs. I then found the bartender who had been serving us and told him what was going on and he basically said he couldn't care less and walked off. Eventually I got hold of the manager, who did apologise and got the bouncer who kicked everyone out. The bouncer then lied and said that he didn't kick anyone out, but told me that the other people who were now in my private area had to stay as they had also booked the area! This was complete rubbish as I had rented out the area until 2, and hadn't been told a thing about anyone else renting it out. So after about an hour of arguments they eventually apologized and kicked the other people out and let my party back up, however this whole thing put a massive downer on the night. Worst of all aswell, people had left their coats and jackets in the private area which the bartender then picked up and put behind the bar without telling anyone. A load of people lost their jackets as a result of this, and I called the bar about this a couple days after to which they said they would ring me back about people collecting their jackets. They never called me back, so despite calling THREE more times, and all my friends ringing about their individual jackets aswell they still have not called back me or any of my friends, so people have now lost their jackets! There was also no photographer despite being promised and the private area still hadn't been completely set up on arrival. For the time when my party was actually allowed in the private area aswell, random people kept popping in because revolution did not make it clear it was a private party. Basically do not rent this place out - awful customer service and rude, unhelpful and...

Booked a table for 5 people at 1pm. When we arrived at 1.05pm the waitress told us we were a bit early? She asked my friend if we were there for a special occasion, my friend replied that we were going to the Hippodrome.

We were shown to a table on the mezzanine floor even though most of the tables downstairs were empty. We needed to.place our order quickly as not much much. Only drink menus on the table so my friend went downstairs to grab a couple and was told by the waitress that there were food menus upstairs. We checked every table and there wasn't.

By.1.15pm we ordered our food. Choose something simple ie. Burgers. One of the items out of stock. A waiter brought up a g&t whilst my friend already had her dtink in her hand. I think revolution prefer you.to order on the app but we couldn't get it to work.

At 1.55, I asked a waitress who was serving the table next to.us if she chase up.our food as we had to get it the theatre.

A manager (i think)came up and said that our orders had got mislaid in the system but it will take 30 minutes which we didn't have. We said if the food could arrive in 10 min then it would be fine so any longer wouldn't be acceptable. A waiter came back and apologised and offered a full refund.

Went downstairs for a refund and the staff refused to offer a refund on the drinks only 3 diet cokes and 1 g&t. Only.got the drinks as we were eating there.

Revolution are only interested in drinkers - do not bother going there. The experience there ruined...

The Cocktail Masterclass was great fun and our host, Denim, was very upbeat and a really fantastic host putting a lot of effort, patience and time into all the attendees (Thank you, Denim!) so this rating has absolutely no reflection on the class itself or our host.

However, the food and service we were provided with after the class on the 2 course meal was terrible. The main courses were dry, cold and flavourless. And although we preordered everyone’s food 2 months in advance of the event, two of our group did not receive their food until I had to complain multiple times to various staff at the bar/kitchen etc. I was eventually told that the katsu curry the two members of our group were waiting on was no longer on the menu (despite us preordering everyone’s food off their online portal as we were advised to do). At no point were we told the food was not coming and/or for us to choose an alternative option… they just decided it was better to leave these people with no food what so ever whilst everyone else ate. Surely, we should have been told that these two people should pick an alternative option off the menu, instead of leaving us guessing on when it would arrive and leaving them hungry. After a further complaint and a long wait, they eventually came out with a makeshift meal for them instead.

The problem with the food was extremely disappointing - please do not promise this service within the Cocktail Masterclass if you...

I was pleasantly surprised by the food here, I know it more as a place for good drinks. We had the chilli roulette which unfortunately I got and it kept my chest burning for a long time! The service was pretty quick we didn't have to wait too long. I didnt take a pic of the margherita pizza as my cousin started eating it before I could take one but said it was nice. We chose 5 plates from the grazin section for £22. We ordered tempura prawns which was really nice wish the portion was bigger. dough balls which is tossed in a garlic butter with chilli vodka salsa these were also nice but I don't know if I could taste any element of vodka. They unfortunately ran out of the loaded nachos so picked hummus and flatbread instead, of course I have had better hummus but for vodka revs I thought it wasn't bad. Crispy fried chicken now that was banging I can't say anything about that again I wish there was more in the portion! I believe the last thing we ordered was calamari which was also nice! We shared this between 3 of us which we felt was suffice for that moment of time. They also had a happy hour going on with a wide range of drinks something for everyone these were bit weak I felt but most bars I feel always has more juice than alcohol especially when it's happy hour. They even had a magician there for entertainment. Overall I recommend coming here on your Friday nights!

My wife booked her afternoon tea birthday gift here and to say she was disappointed is an understatement. We arrived at 12pm no one else in the venue to wait for 40 minutes for the most over cooked afternoon tea and desserts that were still frozen in the middle. The afternoon tea was nothing like what she was expecting as you can see from the pictures. At no point did a member of staff come over to see if everything was ok, as most of the food was left so it was evident it wasn’t and at this point there was only ourselves and another table with two others on. One positive the cocktails didn’t disappoint.

Went for daytime Groupon offer. Wait for food was 40 minutes with cocktails. After waiting that long expected the food to be good but unfortunately the pizza was burnt and dry, with something like bits of old dough on the wooden presentation board the salad looked old like it was from a packet. The cocktail stud puffin was nice until I looked in the bottle and saw two small flies at the bottom of the drink. Cleanliness of the bar could have been better as well, just seemed like the they were understaffed and staff had given up. Maybe just stick to the cocktails and just do bar snacks. Not good
