I had high expectations based on the reviews, but unfortunately, my experience didn't quite meet them. To start on a positive note, I found the staff to be friendly and attentive. However, the Gyros dish I ordered turned out to be a greasy kebab. While I understand that Gyros is a type of Greek kebab, I had hoped for a bigger wow factor for a restaurant setting. It wasn't a bad dish, but it didn't quite live up to my expectations. In fact, it didn't offer anything better than what I would typically get from a late-night takeaway place after a night out. One issue that added to the impression of a typical takeaway experience was the sweet chili sauce. It was served in a very large, burger van-style bottle (I'll include a picture for reference) and had a foil seal that I had to remove myself. This felt a bit less refined for a sit-down restaurant, especially considering the price point, which on average was around £17 for the main dish alone. Additionally, the chips I ordered were not particularly special either. It appears that other reviews have also mentioned this, indicating it might be an area for improvement. Another significant concern was with the ketchup provided. It was in a Heinz bottle, and I assumed it was Heinz ketchup. However, upon tasting it, I realised that it was not actually Heinz ketchup – but some cheap substitute that tasted just like the stuff from 24/7 fast food places. This was misleading and disappointing as I wouldn’t have added it to my plate otherwise. While this may not be a concern for a small independent restaurant, if it were part of a chain, it could potentially damage the Heinz brand's reputation. In terms of the atmosphere, the seating area I was in had dim lighting, which didn't create the most inviting ambiance. The restaurant mentions in their reply this was a choice which makes me sound like a clown but the arrival was in daylight so the lightning was not relevant then - the sunset during the meal and this then became apparent. I want to note that I didn't raise these issues in person during my visit, as it was a special occasion, and I didn't want to disrupt the meal for everyone. Raising it here is better than not raising it at all, as I believe sharing my feedback can be useful for the restaurant and other potential customers. To be fair, I want to mention that a free shot was offered when paying to everyone, which was a nice touch and added a pleasant surprise to the dining experience. Despite my issues, I would consider visiting again to try other dishes if it were not for the attitude in the restaurant's response to my original review. Their comment about 'not being the kind of customer they need' and their sarcastic tone in saying 'thanks again' left me with a negative impression, which is unfortunate. While my evening may not have been perfect, I hope the restaurant takes feedback from customers constructively in future, as it will lead to improvements and a better overall dinning experience. In regards to the restaurant's response below: It's quite peculiar that the restaurant appears frustrated when I update my review in response to their replies and after further reflection. As a frequent Google reviewer, I often prefer to start with a concise review and then expand on it later. Google even encourages this by awarding points for doing so. In the world of business surveys, I've seen many responses, and I would never scold a customer for leaving a brief comment since that doesn't contribute to constructive dialogue. However, every comment I leave seems to be met with some excuse. I've since learned that the sauces are inexpensive because they are intended for kids. I've also been told that everyone else enjoyed the dish I criticised, implying that my opinion is unfounded. My main point, though, is that the dish and its accompaniments didn't provide good value for money, even more so for more expensive items on the menu. It feels as if I'm part of a fiery episode of Channel 4's 'Four in a Bed.'

Very welcoming staff invite you in to the very well finished restaurant area which can accommodate single diners, intimate couples or larger groups as required. The menu has an excellent selection of Greek foods & our group had various starters, main courses & desserts all of which were wonderfully presented & we're full of authentic Greek flavours. Although not specifically Greek, the Baileys cheesecake was very well received. The added benefit for visiting the restaurant in the evenings is that you can park in the car wash opposite. If you time it right you can park your car & leave it for anything from a straight wash up to a full valet while you're enjoying the Greek food across the street. All in all the Olympus gives a Greek dining experience that is extremely worthy of recommendation. We will certainly return.

We had a wonderful time at Olympus, the food was amazing! The meatball starter was perfect, just that little bit of spiciness to give it a bite and I wiped my plate clean. I've never been happier to find my first choice was unavailable. The lamb was one of the best I've ever had, the meat falling off the bone, and the servings were very generous. The mixed grill quickly vanished and the risotto had a bit too much saffron for my brother's taste. I am seriously impressed with their Chef, the only real complaint I heard was that we couldn't clear our plates! The waitress was good with her timings, and very friendly. I am definitely putting this restaurant on my favourites list and hope I will be in the area again to revisit. Considering how good the food was, I'm surprised it didn't have more dinners.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Olympus Greek Restaurant in Bristol, and I must say that it was a delightful experience from start to finish. This restaurant truly captures the essence of Greek cuisine and culture, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere coupled with delicious food.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly and attentive staff who made me feel right at home. The decor exudes a rustic charm, with touches of Greece throughout the restaurant, creating an authentic and cozy ambiance.

Now, let's talk about the food. The menu at Olympus Greek Restaurant is a culinary journey through the flavors of Greece. They offer a wide range of traditional Greek dishes, each prepared with care and using high-quality ingredients. I started my meal with the classic Tzatziki and Dolmades, and both were absolutely delicious. The Tzatziki was creamy and flavorful, while the Dolmades were perfectly seasoned and tender.

For the main course, I opted for the Moussaka, which was a true highlight of the meal. It was a generous portion of layered eggplant, potatoes, and minced meat, topped with a rich béchamel sauce. The flavors were well-balanced, and each bite was a delightful combination of textures. The portion sizes were generous, and I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and impressed with the quality of the food.

The service at Olympus Greek Restaurant deserves special mention. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and happy to provide recommendations based on personal preferences. They were also efficient, ensuring that my food arrived promptly and that I had everything I needed throughout the meal. The level of hospitality displayed by the staff truly enhanced the overall dining experience.

In terms of value, Olympus Greek Restaurant offers reasonable prices for the quality of food and service provided. The portion sizes are generous, and the flavors are authentic and memorable. It's evident that the restaurant takes pride in delivering a memorable dining experience without compromising on quality.

Overall, Olympus Greek Restaurant in Bristol is a hidden gem for Greek cuisine lovers. Whether you're looking for a cozy dinner with loved ones, a place to celebrate a special occasion, or simply a taste of Greece, this restaurant is a must-visit. The combination of warm hospitality, authentic flavors, and a charming atmosphere creates a truly memorable dining experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Amazing Greek Experience in Kingswood!

I visited this beautiful Greek restaurant in Kingswood on Saturday, and honestly, I was blown away from the moment I stepped inside. The atmosphere was warm, vibrant, and full of authentic Mediterranean charm — it really felt like being transported straight to Greece for the evening. The décor was tasteful, cozy, and welcoming, with lovely music playing softly in the background, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed and enjoyable dinner.

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always smiling and making sure everything was perfect. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests and take pride in what they do. Service was quick, professional, and full of positive energy.

Now, let’s talk about the food — absolutely outstanding! Every single dish was bursting with authentic Greek flavors. The ingredients tasted fresh, the portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful. I tried a mix of starters, including the tzatziki, grilled halloumi, and calamari, and everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. For the main course, I went for the lamb souvlaki, which was tender, juicy, and full of flavor, served with perfectly cooked rice and salad. The flavors were so balanced and delicious that I could have easily eaten it all over again!

The desserts were just as impressive — the baklava was heavenly, crispy on the outside with the right amount of sweetness, and the Greek yogurt with honey and walnuts was the perfect light finish to the meal.

What truly made the experience special was how genuine everything felt — the hospitality, the atmosphere, and of course, the food. You can tell this restaurant is run with love and passion for Greek culture and cuisine.

Overall, it was an unforgettable dining experience — amazing food, excellent service, and a beautiful atmosphere. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Greek food in Bristol. Whether you’re going for a casual dinner, a date night, or a family gathering, this spot in Kingswood is an absolute gem. I can’t wait to go...
