Curry Kings — Restaurant in Bristol

Awful service rude staff - many items in our order were missing. Called to let Curry Kings know and was told that this never happens. Fair enough ….. but I wanted to know what could be done about it, after all I had paid for something I didn’t receive. “Nothing” was the answer unless I wanted to drive up to them and collect my missing items. So the rest of food would have gone cold and my family would have undoubtedly started to eat without me! I said I couldn’t do that and apparently that was the way it was as they had no driver to drop my items to me. The man on the phone then started to get quite rude telling me they were only human and not robots. I thought this was rude as I wasn’t being aggressive or rude in any way myself. He said everyone makes mistakes and I agreed but asked again how this could be resolved and was told next time I come in to tell them and they’ll sort it. I told him that I doubt very much I would be coming back after this and asked if they could refund me for the items I didn’t receive. The answer was no apparently because he didn’t have the brain cells to calculate this (his words not mine). When I said I would have to leave a bad review he said he didn’t care as he never looked at them anyway (I don’t think he got the point of reviews and they’re not actually for him but for potential customers). He then hung up. Very very strange indeed. So paid over £40 for missing food and terrible, weird customer service. I’ve been using Curry Kings for 36 years. In 36 years of using them I’ve never had any issues whatsoever. Quilty food ,brilliant staff . I’ve read some reviews with only one star and 99% of them were to do with delivery!!!! I’ve been using Curry King’s since the early 90s, yep I’m an old fart now !!! This was always a takeaway no delivers !!! Go and have a pint in the Essex !!!! Which we still collect like the good old days !! Like all companies they’ve had to keep up with modern times.ie delivery service. You can’t blame Curry kings for the delivery service!! First time ordered from here. Told an hours wait but after 90 minutes still not received. Contacted curry kings and was told on way. When arrived wrong order delivered. Delivery driver must have realised mistake and collected wrong order, but still not delivered our order. Again contacted restaurant and was told our order would arrive soon. Immediately doorbell rang with our order (same driver). Absolutely disgusting all packaging had been opened, spilt everywhere, an absolute mess, obviously delivered to someone else before us. Rang restaurant who asked us to send photos which we did, but have heard anything from them. Driver fault, not restaurant. Order arrived nearly 3 hours late. Will definitely NOT be ordering from here...
