New Rupali Restaurant & Takeaway — Restaurant in Bristol

Ordered from their website for delivery, was told it would be an hour. Two hours later some average food arrived, although I think I was sent a mystery curry bag as very little of it seemed to match my order. Could of ate a scabby horse by this point however so ate the randomly selected items anyway, which in their own right were ok, tender lamb was the highlight and naan's (even though I ordered 1 not 2) were well cooked. The onion bhaji remains a mystery too me as 2 samosas arrived in its place, and the smashed half a spicy poppudum was tasty. I would advise ordering the night before you wish to eat to ensure your food arrives on time (assuming it's not raining as apparently that affects delivery times here as I was told on the phone half an hour after my food should have arrived). Probably won't be rushing into ordering...

Firstly you don't advertise 20% off for orders that are collected, also confirm it on the phone and then when your customer arrives, say that that is no longer the case. 3 different chicken dishes ordered, may well have been the same dish as they tasted the same. The only difference I could see was that, 1 dish had a solitary chunk of pineapple and the chicken was pink in the middle. The pieces of chicken were way too large to be cooked thoroughly. In the bin with it and lucky I didnt contact Environmental Health.As the other 2 dishes at least seemed to be cooked through, although not much flavour, I will give you the benefit of the doubt .Went to the Rupali years ago, sit down and takeaway and service and food were great, . Now something has obviously changed for the worse...

we went out last Saturday evening with friends for a meal and must say the food was nice and the staff were great, 10/10. last night i thought we would have a take away delivered, the shami kebab starter and bhaji were 10 out of 10. The chicken bhuna was massively disappointing! A plate of dry flavorless chicken swimming in onions with a hint of taste to the sauce.. quite different to any bhuna we have ever had before.. totally un edible and straight in the bin. I am hoping and putting last nights disaster down to a very busy night in the kitchen. Not put off by it in any way and will try again soon,...
