We had an extremely unpleasant experience last Saturday. I was visiting friends in Bristol and after a wonderful dinner we have decided to participate in the charity event in Star and Garter. However it all turned sour when we wanted to get in. The door man was very rude and aggressive towards me for no reason. When I wanted to go in and reached for the door handle he brutally pulled me away from the door and I almost fell on the ground. He also started to yell at me to wait outside. Was about to write this review complaining about aggressive doorstaff and looked up the star and garter pub and turned out the angry guy on the door was the landlord himself! We left without having a meal we booked and opted...
