Gorilla Thai Kitchen — Restaurant in Bristol

I've ordered from Gorilla Thai quite a few times before and it tends to be really good. However my order this evening (same as I normally get: coconut rice and Thai Green curry) is awful. It took an hour to arrive and the rice is solid and chewy like it has been undercooked first then badly reheated, the curry is extremely watery, the veg is chewy and squeaky and the chicken used is bad quality cuts of meat and again tastes like it has been reheated. It might be a one off because they are busy but it is so terrible I don't think I will ever order food here again.

I just wanted to update to say that following this review and a complaint submitted via Uber the customer service of Gorilla Thai and UberEats has been really good to help to resolve my issue. Just given up trying to eat a mix of terribly cooked so called Thia food from Gorilla Thia kitchen! I love Thia food but my experience of the food that Gorilla has just cooked us was a joke! The Tom kha soup should have been spicy with flavors of lemon grass, thia chillis, whole chicken as well as a good base of coconut milk, but instead was watery, full of sugar Minced chicken! No lemon grass, no chillis and definitely no way close to the real deal. The crispy chicken with cashew nuts that we ordered for main course was also disappointing the chicken was so hard and flavorless was difficult to eat and hardly a cashew to be seen...not recommended and not worth trying! Ordered beef massaman. Lacks all of the flavour and aromatics that should be in a massaman. Its more like weak penang curry. The meat is clearly "slow cooked" on its own so that it can be chucked in any of their sauces at the last minute. The result of this is really dry chewy beef that's cut into large cubes and therefore not pleasant to eat. Some reviewers who claim this is authentic clearly have no idea. Or perhaps they sent me the Penang curry instead?? To top all of this off the rice I ordered with it did not come and when I rang the restaurant to complain they were not helpful at all. How can you be happy spending so much on a bad curry that then comes without rice? Some of the dishes were quite good but to be honest this has been a very bad experience for me...
