The Porters Arms — Restaurant in Broadland

What a fantastic little bar. I must be honest and say I don't generally head for "trendy" bars, in some part due to preconceived ideas. But this was great. I'm not a craft beer or ale drinker, however what took me inside was the bottled Augustina Helles from Germany that they had. A proper quality beer which I highly recommend to anyone. And.... At a very fair price I thought!!!!! The only issue with my visit was that one person who didn't seem to appreciate the bars small and intimate surroundings, instead being loud enough to be heard across a Weatherspoons 😂. Naturally this is no slight in the Porters....

A little gem. We've been four times over the past month, and each time, we're not disappointed. We look forward to going for a beer at Porters Arms. Not for the sake of 'going out for a drink' but to enjoy a beer in a warm and welcome atmosphere. Another great thing is that they serve beers in pints, 1/3, 1/2, or 2/3 pints, so you can enjoy several different beers. They also have GF options. Lovely vibe. Super impressed. Visited friends who live in Aylsham, and was promised a ‘lovely little place’. Yes, it’s small (but expansion works on the go), and yes, it’s lovely. Everything is new as it’s not been open long, but it doesn’t feel that way. Great decor and flexible seating. Friendly welcome from the bar staff and a good selection of beers.
