We visited here today for afternoon tea as a birthday treat for my mum and we were thoroughly impressed!!! We had never been to this coffee bar/cafe before, but the quality and selection of food/drink was absolutely amazing and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was all really fresh and tasted delicious. What I really liked about this afternoon tea was that you get to pick your sandwich fillings from a list so you can choose ones you know you like. Also the unlimited tea/coffee includes coffee of any choice too (latte, cappuccino etc) which was surprising, but really good! The staff were really accommodating with making me a plain scone too and everything came exactly as ordered. The cakes were of really high standard. For £17, the portion size was fantastic; each person gets 1 sandwich (2 rounds of bread) a large sausgae roll, crisps, small side salad, 1 scone with jam & cream, 4 pieces of cake and unlimited tea or coffee. Well worth the money spent! I was also happy and relieved to know that the sausage rolls had been kept refrigerated (it tasted cold when eating) as so many places leave sausgae rolls sitting out on the counter for hours which I personally find off putting, so I'm glad that wasn't the case here. It was a really lovely place inside, nice atmosphere, great decor and spacious. I will definitely be recommending this place to people I know and I will be returning to sample other things too. There was so many other delicious looking cakes on the counter such as cookie pie made by their extremely talented baker Josh and I look forward to trying more cakes from here in the future! A big thanks to all the team who made this such an enjoyable...

A friend and I visited this cafe today for the first time. My friend spotted a picture of the pistachio frappe on Instagram and it looked nice and very green. We couldn't wait to try it. Sadly my friend who went in found the man serving to be rude. She said she had seen the pistachio frappe on line. He replied he didn't know because he doesn't do the online stuff, ordered two and paid for them. The drinks are made in the kitchen so when he came back for the ice she asked him were they made with coffee as she saw he had made two lots of coffee and he said yes because frappe drinks are coffee based drinks. Bearing in mind that Costa and Star bucks have coffee or vanilla based frappes. My friend doesn't like coffee so asked for one without and he replied No, it was too late as already been made.. which clearly they hadn't been made at this point as he had come to collect the ice. He went back to the kitchen and brought them through adding the cream on top. My friend put hers down the sink as she couldn't drink it. The drinks were not green as depicted, they were brown, with the coffee. I am drnking mine as I type up this review. Mine tastes of coffee with a minute hint of something which, if I didn't know was meant to be pistachio I wouldn't know. We won't be returning due to the mans behaviours and rudeness or for the mediocre drink which we had...

I thought this place was reasonably ok and like the fact that I can meet friends for a walk and then take my dog in. The cake is nice and the girl serving is sweet. However, about a week ago, the owner had a go at a customer and was extremely abusive and aggressive. I have seen this customer regularly and he is a kind, polite and gentle man who comes in with his very well behaved dog and, to be honest, this man actually enhances the atmosphere because of his friendliness. That's why I go to a coffee shop! This man should NOT be in a public service. He swore and shouted in front of young children and the humiliation he caused this man was traumatic to watch. I, at least a dozen of my friends and I'm sure many customers that day will never set foot in...

Having been to Woods Coffee Bar in the past and enjoyed our scone and cappuccino, while in the area we decided to return again and have same as before. My biggest surprise was to see the young girl working there touching the owners dog I guess, with her fingers around the dogs nose and mouth, then picking the dog up in her arms for a cuddle, to my astonishment the young girl then proceeded to deliver plates of food and drink to tables, some where along the line hygiene hasn't been taught. Therefore I could only give a 3 star rating. In my opinion to see dogs in restaurants or coffee shops is a no no for me especially when they are not on a lead.

Happily stumbled upon this little cafe when shopping nearby at the retail park. Lovely interior, great staff, and wonderful food. The atmosphere is relaxed and cosy, we could have easily spent hours there, it was a well needed escape from the busyness outside! I would highly recommend and happily go back in future. Drinks include coffee and tea, ample food available including breakfast options, panini’s, sandwiches and cakes. Highly appreciate the veggie options and alternative milk (oat, soy etc) for tea and coffee.
