Ken Tong — Local services in Norwich

Been using this place for 6 years, always been extremely happy with the food. Tonight was the worst Chinese meal I’ve ever had, food was bland, sauces were runny. We had to throw most of it out. These days a takeaway isn’t a cheap option, but we thought Ken Tong may be a little pricey, but we know we would enjoy it. I’ll be honest, takeaway prices have gone through the roof & I understand why, but please, if you are going to charge a premium, deliver premium products. Never going back, such a shame.

This was my reply from Ken Tong. Please note they only mentioned the pricing, which I wasn’t overly concerned about. Not once was the quality of the food mentioned, my main complaint. It seems they are much more concerned about competitive pricing than high standards & customer service....

Ordered my Chinese and went to collect, my partner went in and gave my name and was given the wrong order. I was then called ten minutes later and told to go back so the other person could have their dinner. Despite me living 25 minutes away I had to turn round to collect my dinner as I had paid for it. The lady on the phone was so disgustingly rude, I’ve actually never been spoken to like that in my life and she said it was my partners fault for taking the wrong bag. I can’t believe she said this when she was the one that handed him the wrong bag from the kitchen. Would never ever return as I was treated with no respect by two different people and was hung up on the phone when they had actually called me to go back. Ordered from here for the first time as my usual was closed, I was told the wait for delivery was 30/40minutes but ended up waiting an hour and a half, I ordered for the family all the chicken dishes I got was just pure floury batter with literally no chicken in the middle, it was taste less, the staff aren't particularly pleasant and didn't let me know how long the wait was going to be, I wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a warm tasty meal for the family. I guess I'm just used to tasty Chinese with my local so won't be using this one again, disappointed I had a bad first experience as the reviews for this place...
