We made a reservation early in the week and walked to this restaurant on a Friday night. It was very cold outside so the first thing we noticed on arrival was how nice and warm it was, this was due to the huge traditional wood fired pizza oven that is constantly burning away in the background. We were welcomed as we entered and shown to a table on the ground floor. The restaurant has an upper level with more tables and a bar. The whole building has been completely renovated to a very high standard in a rustic style which creates a very relaxed atmosphere. We ordered a bottle of the house red wine while we browsed the menu which was reasonably priced and very nice, certainly beyond what you’d expect for house wine. The menu offers a great choice of pizza’s with some unusual toppings, along with other traditional Italian dishes. The mushroom starter is prepared with blue cheese and was absolutely delicious. Then came our pizzas..Wow! you wouldn’t find better at the Piazza Navona! they were the perfect thickness, cooked to perfection with amazing flavours from the wood fired oven. We were offered a drizzle of chilli infused oil and grated parmesan cheese at the table which intensified the flavours, a nice touch. We’re looking forward to returning and wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend this restaurant. Be warned though that time at your table may be limited during peak times due to demand and the number of tables available, but this is a small price to pay for such amazing food, a great atmosphere and fantastic service from Vicky, Ben, Catherine and all the staff at Fuso.

Me and my friends came to visit yesterday for my birthday , we didn’t book a table as it was a last min find in that area as we were local but we managed to get a table. I ordered a KING PRAWN starter for £7.50, it arrived in a tomato bolognaise sauce and I received 4 average sized prawns, not king as advertised in fact the whole dish didn’t taste how it was advertised I knew straight away I was sending that back because as I’m not looking on other peoples photos on these reviews I see they have received a great portion and mine only looked full when asking to send it back, for that price it’s ridiculous, no seasoning I can’t even begin to tell you how long I was sitting there adding salt and pepper so I could at least try and enjoy it , seafood needs seasoning otherwise it just tastes like plain prawns and rubber. I had the piccante pasta which I order everywhere I go, again no flavour, when you cook creamy pasta you do NEED to add extra seasonings otherwise it just tastes like cream… which is exactly what my chicken pasta with chilli and tomatoes tasted like , cream. My friends ordered the mushroom bruschetta which was SUPPOSED to come with a blue cheese and it didn’t and the bread was hard. Not happy with the food or service after forgetting my order , the food for the price isn’t worth it , nice very small restaurant/room , staff were good, the lady who served us was very apologetic. For someone who loves Italian food its a let down , drinks were decent but wouldn’t be seeing me again its not value for money. Add more filling to the meals then maybe.

The pizza looked like a child's drawing of a pizza, nothing like the pictures on Google or the pizza we got previously half a year ago. It wasn't hot, it wasn't real mozzarella and various described ingredients were missing. It was very disappointing. It was like an awful supermarket pizza. Also trying to use the 10% discount for registering my email address on their page only to be told it's only for dining-in, when all it says on the page is "on your next visit". What made this 2 stars for the food instead of 1 is that the Zucchini fries were decent.

Unfortunately having to change my rating of this place from 5⭐ down to 1⭐ We've eaten here several times before, plus had takeaway several times over lockdown, and always really enjoyed the food and the restaurant experience itself but today completely put us off ever returning.

So, I'll start with the positives. Our starters were nice. We shared the cheese fondue, a small rosemary garlic bread and our son had the pork belly bites. All of the starters were tasty and good value. For mains, my calzone was tasty enough for what it was.

Now for the negative side. We were eating as a family, with our son, and the music playing in the restaurant had uncensored swearing in multiple songs, which we were really unimpressed with. For a family restaurant this is completely unacceptable. I ordered a cocktail that tasted nothing like the description and although supposed to be sparkling was completely flat. My partner and son ordered a chicken pasta dish off the specials menu which sounded and looked lovely however the pasta was really overcooked and there was no flavour anywhere on the plate. It was not very nice at all. They both sent it back having eaten maybe a 1/5 or 1/4 of the plate each at most. The staff offered us free desserts for the trouble which was a lovely gesture, but still charged the £19 per dish for the two plates of food that were sent back to the kitchen which is a bit of a slap in the face. The desserts weren't great either, a soggy flavourless tiramisu, some grainy over frozen chocolate ice cream and our sons Nutella gniochhi were OK but served to him absolutely scalding hot with no warning from the staff of their temperature. We would much rather have not had free deserts and had the cost of the bad food taken off our bill. Service was very slow, surprisingly as there were not many other people in the restaurant.

All in all the total bill was just short of £90 which is a lot for the food/drink we actually consumed - two alcoholic drinks, two cans of pop, two starters, a side, one main meal, and three dissapointing desserts. Very overpriced for below average food and slow service.

Suffice to say we will not be coming back to this restaurant nor would we reccommend it to our...
