My husband and I have been regular customers at Zinga for over 7 years, having previously lived very close by and frequently ate in the restaurant as well as having takeaways. We have since moved to the other side of Bromsgrove, and have noticed the standard slowly dropping in recent months - however we’ve remained loyal customers despite the poor customer service as the food on the whole has remained pretty good - until tonight!!
My husband ordered our delivery at 19:40pm and were told the food would be arriving in 1hr and 15mins - we were fine with this as understood it would likely be busy being a Saturday night. By 21:00hrs the food was still not with us. My husband rang up - staff apologised and told us “food is on it’s way.” We may have moved to the other side of Bromsgrove but this is still under 10 minutes in the car.... by 21:25, still no sign of food. I called and staff said they would “go and check” - they came back a short time later after I had to sit and listen to shouting and arguing on the other end of the phone, and they stated that “food is on it’s way” - again they apologised saying they had been very busy. I queried that my husband had already been told it was on route over 20 minutes ago - they just ignored this and said “sorry it is definitely on it’s way.” We were offered nothing by way of a goodwill gesture. By 21:40 - you guessed it!! - still no food! My husband rang back and insisted on a refund. We could hear a staff member in the background shouting “what refund” and no one seemed able to tell us whether the food was on route.... cooked.... or even had they recorded our order in the first place ?!? They seemed disinterested, and simply said “so you want a refund yeah ?” Whilst processing the refund, the food then arrived !!! Unbelievable.... Have to say we’ve previously noted the manager of Zinga to be quite rude and obnoxious towards customers - it’s now the final straw for us tonight.... we’ve tried to continue to support our old favourite, but unfortunately the standards and customer service are now nothing short of abysmal. We’ll be finding a new curry house in future. Very...
Read moreFirst curry I've had in this house since we moved in a year ago and the first recommendation I had was Zinga..
Up to give all of the money for the order to the business I chose to go direct to their website rather than a delivery firm Andres extremely pleased with how easy it was to navigate through the menu and add things to the cart probably the best online ordering experience I've ever had with regards to ease of navigation.
I had a 20% discount added to my bill for being a first time customer automatically came off mid order
Pretty usual menu but the prices are very reasonable for the area and portion sizes were also impressive
I had a tandoori mix starter which was very good value at £5 I ordered two papadums however got sent for so probably bought extra I got extra mint yoghurt as well but only one mango chutney so perhaps this is not sent to standard.
Had a very creamy and mild tandoori chicken main with coconut cream sauce basically a korma but.not.yelow. Chips.were still.kinda crispy on delivery naan still hot Food came at time stated.
And i could pay cash on delivery. Will definitely...
Read moreFirst time i've ordered from here, and I ordered because of the reviews.
I was shocked it cost me £33 for 2 Curries, Onion Bhajee, Rice and Chips.
Curry was bland, No spice, Unseasoned. Onion Bhajee was just Onion deep fried, and Burnt. Chicken was dry. Chips were Pale and greasy.
Never ordering again. I've had better Microwave meals from Iceland.
No Love has gone into making the meals I had, And I couldn't eat it because it was that bad. I understand there's a recession happening but that's even more reason to make your business shine above the rest.
If that's the best they can do with £33 then they must be making about £28 Profit because Id say the ingredients only came to £5, and If an Indian Chef made my meal he should be...
