Shaad Shomoy Rubery — Restaurant in Bromsgrove

I ate here last night with my family as a table of 10. We were greeted with a warm welcome and seated immediately. The staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough. 3 members of our party were late but the staff were only too happy to accommodate this. The food was amazing with my 4 year old even claiming that this was the best dinner she ever had.

We often struggle when taking our family out as our autistic son finds unfamiliar places and sounds distressing but the staff were amazing with him. They were patient and allowed him time to talk and express himself. He even ate all of his curry which was a real win in my book.

The staff were really accommodating to everything that we asked for and everyone enjoyed their meal. My children were asking for dessert and the chef made them a traditional Indian dessert which went down a treat.

We spent a good few hours having our meals in this restaurant and we weren’t rushed at all. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable night out. A true hidden gem in Rubery.

Came here about 6+ months ago, had a terrible experience, gave them a second chance, had another bad experience, and left a bad review. I honestly had forgot. Phoned for a curry the other night and the staff somehow still remembered me. I'm pleased to say this place has improved drastically. The food tasted a whole lot better and fresher, the spice was pretty much perfect to my request and they clearly made an effort to make it up to me for my past bad experience. 10/10 I would recommend trying them now. Booked a table for 10 for New Year's eve, rang to change it to 11 ..... no problem. Turned up at 6.15pm for our booking at 6.30pm, staff looked confused and had given our table to someone else, ended up having to sit on separate tables with our backs to each other! Ordered our food at about 7pm, when we asked at 7.45 we were told our food would be 15mins. at 8.15 when we asked again we were told it would be at least another half and hour! By this point we got up and left.... .and got a take away from across the road.
