The Village Kitchen Rubery — Restaurant in Bromsgrove

This resteraunt is a welcome addition to the village. Rubery has seen its fair share of fast food outlets over the years, but this one stands out above all others. The reason for this is the modern, no nonsense approach to excellent quality food in a friendly homely atmosphere. Recently opened and changed completely from the previous outlet, the village kitchen is exactly that. A professional catering outlet in the centre of this busy village high street. I ordered a bacon and egg sandwich and did not have to wait anymore than three minutes for the order to arrive at the table. The bacon was thick cut with excellent texture and flavour with the added bonus of being supplied by a local butcher in the village. Everything served in the resteraunt is locally sourced and produced and that makes this place exceptional. Local food for local people served by professional and friendly staff with a ' can do ' attitude towards excellent customer service. The resteraunt is spotlessly clean with a modern decor that stands out on the High Street. The owner is also thinking about opening at evening times where traditional home cooked evening meals would be served. And that, if it were to happen, would put the village kitchen on the map. BIG Time. As the demand for Good Quality home cooked food served with fast food efficiency is definatley something that busy working families would welcome. A great resteraunt with quality food at fantastic prices.

When I went into the cafe the two women working smiled at me but they didn’t take my order for a further 10 mins which meant I was just standing around. When waited 20+ minutes for our food, when it finally came the medium full English was more like a child’s size and the large full English was more like a small size. I asked for both full English’s to have bread and butter but we only got one bread and butter and one toast and to top it off our breakfasts were cold. I am not impressed and definitely will not...

Well the people are great Sometimes I think there over run and can't cope And I wait for ages But I do like the cafe but the is a major problem 80 percent of the time you go in its Cash only so I find my self working out to get cash And so do all the other customers It's really very annoying And brings the whole Thing down Most of the time I just go somewhere else It's been like this for months So come on Get it sorted out Your loosing ...
