Cafe 94 — Restaurant in Broxtowe

Great value, no frills café. On entering the café you just sit wherever is free. The place doesn't hold that many people. It seemed a bit dark at the front as the lights weren't on and we weren't sure it was open. The lady serving us was really nice and jolly and our brunch order came promptly. Two guys did come in who didn't receive any attention until they moved closer to the counter though so you need to make them aware you are there I think. The breakfasts we ordered were fine although I wasn't expecting tinned tomatoes with it as the picture showed fresh. For me that was a bonus as I like them but some might not. My fry up came first and the bacon was just how I like it, crispy but I suspect that was because it had been in a warmer. Similarly the eggs were very well done. The last breakfast to arrive a few minutes later I suspect had just had the eggs freshly done as the yokes were runny. That didn't bother me and I'm sure if I'd ave asked for a runny yoke they'd have accommodated my request. All in all a great value place for brunch but as you can see they provide other meals also. I've been coming to cafe 94 for nearly two years now at least twice a week. I've always received fast friendly and reliable service with great quality food until today ! Service was poor with no please or Thank you for a start! The lady who took our orders was huffing because we took a few SECONDS to decide whether to have tea or coffee! We both ordered the "belly buster" breakfast. The egg yolks on all the eggs where firm and not runny at All! Black pudding was raw in the middle but burned on the bottom ! Bacon was like cardboard and beans lukewarm! That's not even to mention the amount of grease that was on the plate! Had breakfast here so many times now! Took me a while to post a review shame on me because this establishment is spotless and the service is friendly and quick! The food is freshly cooked and piping hot, the real Surprise is the quality of the food and how well everything is cooked it’s absolutely spot on. Which then brings me to the price ! Far to cheap I have a big boy breakfast 3 sausages 2 bacon 3 eggs black pudding mushrooms beans and tomatoes and two hash browns two slices of toast or bread and even the coffee or tea thrown in.
