Hing Kee Bubble Tea — Restaurant in Broxtowe

Recently visited the shop and was greeted by a mixture of J and K-Pop which makes a nice change on a suburban Nottingham high-street. This is also my primary reason for giving this spot 4-stars.

I'd gone for the Spicy Toppoki and Baby Octopus rice-bowl and couldn't really taste much more than the spice, and I would say the rice to topping ratio was a bit off.

But these things can be improved - maybe by using better quality of rice and vegetables. Otherwise, the variety of options at Hing Kee, the bubble tea and service really are great!

Need more "different" options such as this in Beeston...

This place is my favourite bubble tea shop that I have been to, I really do love it. They have such a variety of drinks and flavours to choose from, my favourite would be the creme caramel one! The drinks are always delicious, I always have to get two. The service is great too, with the owners being friendly and they always remember my allergy and recommend me subsititutes. My friends that I have brought to the shop always love it too and are eager to visit it again. Lots of fun anime merchandise inside too, nice to browse while you wait and...

Friendly owners, seem like really nice people... But I have to rate the place on the food - which is what I went in for. The Gyoza 🥟 were just awful. Absolutely nothing like they were in Japan. The story is exactly the same with the Bulgogi. Very disappointing, especially as it was considerably more expensive than other places that are far nicer.

Won't be back again. Would rather go to Man's Restaurant in...
