The food was nice, but when I looked around at other people's tables, they had things that weren't on the menu, so there's is a hidden menu in kanji somewhere.

Servers were nice but didn't explain anything, I had to use Google translate for some words I wasn't sure on what it was, as kanji is difficult if it's not apart of your first language.

Toilet was clean but no hand towels or dryer. Not a place that is disabled folk friendly either no facilities for them, but the place is small so it's going to struggle with that.

Over all from ordering to getting my ramen, it took 30 minutes, as there were bigger groups of 4, so be aware that you need to wait some time if its busy. But my food was hot and was nice, the strongest black garlic ramen I've ever had, and I've been eating authentic Japanese food for over 20 years.

Not sure if I would come back, but I can see it being a great hotspot for the local Asian community. Hopefully it will do well and can add more to the menu, in both Japanese and English for all to enjoy.

Take away would be a great opportunity though in future seeing they have a...

We visited Ramen Hassaku today and it was a fantastic! The owner was incredibly welcoming, making the meal even more enjoyable.

The ramen was exceptional with perfectly cooked noodles and a rich, flavorful broth. The Takoyaki (octopus balls) was a highlight with its crispy exterior and soft, tasty inside. The pork katsu was another standout - thick, juicy, and perfectly cooked with a crispy golden crust.

The restaurant was also frequented by Japanese families, which definitely speaks to its authenticity and quality. The photos of the meal show just how appetizing the food is, from the beautifully presented pork katsu with its sides, to the Takoyaki and crispy chicken, and of course, the star of the show - the ramen itself with its creamy broth and well-prepared toppings.

If you're looking for a genuine taste of Japan in Nottingham, Ramen Hassaku is the...

My girlfriend and I have been regulars at this restaurant for over a year. It all started when I wanted soup one Sunday, and this was the closest place with good reviews. We haven’t been able to get enough of it since.

Ramen with gyoza is our go-to, but over time we’ve probably tried 50–60% of the menu. The portions are generous, and the quality of the food makes it more than worth the money. Prices are very reasonable, and we’ve already introduced several friends to this place.

The service is always excellent—the ladies who work there really do their best to make you comfortable. Pound for pound, it’s the best spot for Asian food in the Nottingham area. In my personal opinion (and I travel a lot for work), it’s the best ramen place in the UK.

To the restaurant owners and staff: Don’t change—just...

Very nice and different food for the first try. I cannot comment about authenticity as I have never been to Japan or researched Japanese cooking and ingredients other than eating in the UK. Quite small with the usual tables and chairs, all looked very clean didn't see if there was a toilet. The pork ramen was really nice, the pork so tender and the egg very tasty along with the broth. The katsu chicken was very crunchy and very moist not dry at all which is a good sign. Had a can for a drink and was very cheap compared to other outlets. I will go again to test the menu further.
