I am sure this is a one off and there has to be an exceptional circumstances but I'm going to write as I find. The service was absolutely shocking, the staff put the tables together for us as we were a family of 9, the mature lady we spoke to when we got there was polite and explained the waiting time was around 30-45 minutes, that was absolutely no issue. 7 of us ordered our food to begin with and 1 came out within 30 minutes, followed by the second plate 15 minutes later followed by third plate 5 minutes after and so on, the point being we all ate at different times, the first meal was finished before plate number 6 even came out. The food was dry as you can tell with the peas and jacket potato as well as the bacon. I was told that wetherspoons just warm food up and it is sent in already cooked is this correct? Anyway... The puddings! 7 had puddings 4 of them were cookie dough and ice cream and you guessed it, the first one came out followed 7 minutes later by the second one, when the last pudding came out the young server lent over a family member to give it to another family member. The atmosphere was good 👍🏼

Oh look they recyle the garnish.. lovely! I'm glad to have someone else's lemon! Even if they did indulge in chilli sauce and suspected mayo.. well done on saving pence.. I hope that that too is passed on to the costumers!.. absolutely disgusting! Upon returning my dish I was told to not bother coming back! How about get out of my town and make way for someone to to the right job! Accompanied sauce packs should be thrown away as part of the company policy! Add 8 of them between the tow of us to that were served and ponder as to why they would recycle onto my plate a dried up old price of.. huh hmm.. lemon!

Thought I would try their breakfast 10am on a Monday morning as I had not tried it before. First thing I was told was that they have ran out of haah browns! ...likes it's a'Monday morning first thing! So ok .got my breakfast plate and first impressions are that it has not been presented well at all...note the eggs piled on top of each other. Second observation was the amountvob baked beans. I compared the quantity to those shown on the leaflet menu..definitely a reduction on portion. Food was also not hot but just warm.

This place has really gone down hill. Went here with some friends for a change. The place is nice enough but for a pub this busy they have around 3 staff working so they are very overworked and this means getting served takes a long time. But the worst bit by miles was the food. Me and another friend ordered the large Mixed grill (we were told they couldn't provide the large mixed grill as they had no eggs) I said I didn't want egg on mine anyway, but still wouldn't offer the large. So reluctantly asked for the standard. Again a long wait for food but slightly understandable as it was getting busy. The food eventually came out. My friends was over done and dry. Mine was far worse. I think the chef (I use that word loosely) had previously worked at the local crematorium as all the various types of meat were like blocks of charcoal. I understand grilled meat has an amount of char, but all of the meats looks identical (just black lumps) When I returned the food I was told they would cook me a fresh one and then 25 minutes later still no sign . Eventually I asked for a refund because my friends had finished eating and also I had no confidence that if my food ever did come out, that it would be any better. The staff did offer some half hearted apologies, but I get the feeling complaints are probably a regular occurrence. It's a shame as the staff outside the kitchen seem to be working hard but there just isn't enough of them. The cooking staff however let this place down massively. I have never seen a mixed grill cooked so badly in my life even at places where cheapness is the aim. I won't be going back...

So I came to this pub today with my husband and our dog poppy. We sat outside and walked passed the doors to do so. The staff member I will talk about saw us and poppy as we walked by to sit down outside to have a drink together. I went in to order and drink and had a chat with the staff member. I went back outside after I ordered the drink. When the staff member bought the drinks outside we were told to drink the drinks quickly as we had to leave because we had our dog with us as they don't allow dogs anywhere inside or out on the premises. Yet they let us buy the drinks before they told us we couldn't be there. There is a sign that says assistance dogs are allowed on the premises. Absolutely no were is there a sign that says dogs are not allowed outside. Nor that they are not allowed anywhere on there premises. Most pubs will allow a well behaved dog to he outside which poppy is. And as u have come to learn it is a policy for all of their pubs. And that's fine but then they should have the signs that say this. Most people know dogs are not allowed inside places unless a service dog. But most are still allowed outside and as this isn't the case there should have been a sign saying so and we would have took our custom elsewhere where we would be welcome. Which we will be doing...

Poor is an understatement.

To start. It is my Mothers Aniversary. We enter to a sticky table with fingernails on it from the party before us. Then after wiping the table ourselves, we order our food. While we are waiting, my son gets asked for ID for the beer he was drinking after my Dad had ordered it. After a lot of protesting from my dad and son the staff member took the drink without refund. My dad then had to leave the restaurant on his anniversary to go fetch my sons ID from the house. Then when the food finally arrived after 45mins, we were served by another rude member of staff. She handed my Aunt the food for my other son as he was at the other end of the table and nearly burnt her hand on the plate do to no mention from the staff member of a hot plate. Then when the next few plates came, I asked if the plate was hot. With no reply they handed me the plate which luckily wasn't hot. Then we get to actually eating the food. My chips were soggy, my egg was hard and I think I found what seemed like an eggshell in the egg.

Of course I could be wrong about that but the amount of things wrong with this place cannot be turned down. They have ruined my parents 51st anniversary and we will not...
