For a new kid on the block, they only opened last autumn, Rogan & Josh know about food and excellent customer service, just like a restaurant that has been trading for ages should do..
Helpful and understanding staff and Afi the owner/ head chef actually comes to talk to customers about the delicious and authentic food he has just cooked for them.
The decor is relaxing with just some light jazz to break the silence and the big mural that depicts London, the Houses Parliament and traffic on Westminster Bridge is entertaining to look at, with a mixture of vehicles including a Mercedes and a couple of tuk-tuks.
A comprehensive menu of mainly chicken, lamb, fish and prawn dishes cooked in a variety of ways, depending on which part of the Indian sub-continent you prefer, together with various starters and side dishes make for a delicious meal and an empty plate. Vegetarians aren’t neglected with a variety of options at a reasonable price.
They have no liquor licence, so it's a case of bring your own, or enjoy a range of non-alcoholic and soft drinks, including some refreshing fruit mojitos.
As my wife and I live close by, we've had a few take-aways, and dined in for the first time last Wednesday for a treat, as it was my birthday. We enjoyed it so much, we took some friends there tonight. Their tastebuds were stunned by the food ordered, and agreed that their meals were fantastic.
So for a tasty and enjoyable curry that won't concern your bank manager, do give Rogan & Josh a go. You won't be...
Read moreI cannot recommend this place highly enough! 5 stars all around. The best Indian I have outside of India. Certainly the best I have had in the UK. Massive choice for all palettes, lots of vegetarian and vegan options and the dishes that we had were so fresh and no nasty oils in them. The food was modern in presentation but not style over substance or flavour which can be the case in modern Asian establishments. The spice ratings were perfect and exactly to put tastes but also there was a discussion with the gentleman who served us about how hot we would like the food to be. He was wonderful and couldn't have been more attentive and helpful with food recommendations and knowledge of the menu. They do not have currently have an alcohol licence but 2 doors down there is a shop with lots of choice of alcoholic beverages. Immaculately clean and bright and airy modern interior. We will certainly be back and it will be our go to for Indian takeaways...
Read moreI recently had an absolutely fantastic meal at Rogan&Josh, an Indian restaurant that's definitely a cut above your standard curry house.
From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the lovely atmosphere – it was warm and inviting. The service was top-notch too; everyone was so attentive. The menu was really interesting, showcasing dishes from all over India, not just the usual things you see everywhere, it was incredible!
You could tell they used really fresh ingredients, and it was cooked perfectly. We also started with the Seekh Kebab and Samosas, which were both delicious.
Me and my wife shared some Saag Paneer and naan, and they were the perfect sides. It's a little pricier than your average Indian restaurant, but honestly, it was worth every penny. The food, the service, the ambiance – everything was just perfect. I can't recommend Rogan &...
