Shockingly rude, went out as a family for a few drinks was given the wrong drink was told it would be sorted, waited 10 mins nothing so returned to the bar to ask them was told I needed table number so went back to get it meanwhile a worker had already been to get it a worker that had literally watched me be told to walk back with 3 kids to get the table number, had to wait in que again to get it resolved then tried to speak to somebody and they said ‘if you keep talking to different people then it’s hard to help’ even though different members of staff was taking to me about it because they was very dismissive rude and unhelpful none held more than a sentence in conversation with me and then would walk off from the front bar to go attend to other customers (there was a couple friendly staff but this just ruined the whole experience) tried to speak to the lady who sent me off to get the table number and was told ‘it’s not me dealing with it’ I was unaware who was trying to help at this point as nobody wanted to take notice of me at the bar and so upset with the attitude that was given as I have always came here growing up and enjoyed it so very disappointed when handed the drink I said thank you and I was give a smug smile very unwelcoming and unhelpful a shame because I am not a rude person and they Made me feel aslthough I was in the wrong for trying to sort their mistake out. I then went back up to order drinks and food and was asked the table number we had table service for everything up to this point so assumed it would be the same as I was asked the table number I proceeded to pay the lady watched me pay for my food and drinks and then watched me walked away I was not told to wait for drinks I went back to the table expecting them to be served with the food and then was approached by another customer to let me know they had been left at the bar after I left. So upsetting the way I had been made to be feel by the staff I was not rude in anyway infact tried to be overly nice so they didn’t think I was trying to be a pain or rude. Not the best experience...

I've been here few months ago for an early morning breakfast, but seems the place has been taken over by new people now running it. Shame coz there breakfasts were terrible.. Last time I visited we got a breakfast menu in colour and printed and laminated, these new people when we asked where's the menu just write what they served on a piece of lined paper. That's not even the end of it,we expected toast but received a slice of bread. The previous owners had a great cooked breakfast and for me a veggie option which is why I went back, sadly they've now clearly gone! Badly organised, very small portions (I'm not a kid). With the previous owners it was a real hearty breakfast and cheaper under £4 last time we went now it's over £5. (To the owners) Get a breakfast menu printed out and better portions for the price,we ended up goin to Morrison's the next time we wanted a breakfast won't go to Sun inn again unless the get their act together. Oh and they need to get those little portions of jam marmalade and butter, like we used to get with the previous owners, nothing was too much trouble for them, why oh why can't the new owners sit down and see where they're goin wrong,(Or do I send Gordon Ramsey round to show you why me and my partner are complaining) Sun Inn - sorry you've lost 2 paying customers. Put your customers first,or gradually go...

Just had a one night stay in the Sun Inn, arrived on a Saturday night about 21:00, Pub wasn’t over busy but mid-Jan. It’s location is on the one way system in Eastwood, has parking for a handful on cars but there is a larger pay and display car park at the rear. The room was reasonably priced at just under £50 and offered bed and breakfast. The room had everything you need for a stop over, I didn’t see a lift option so possible not disabled friendly. I had the option of a double which was a good size, had en-suite over shower/bath. Plenty of bedside plugs and a little desk for kettle and drinks etc, also provided in room was fan, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, which was handy. Two bedside lamps, one either side and main switch just above the bed. No issues with noise in or outside the room. As was in the centre on Eastwood, expected to be noisy but no issues at all. I didn’t sample the food but very comfortable stay and check in very efficiently, had a good...

VERY DISSAPOINTED VERY NOISY NO WAY WILL I RETURN Booked by work on my behalf, when I called offering to pay the difference, asking to upgrade to a double bed I was made to feel like I was asking for the impossible, rude and unhelpful on the phone!!! Here's the best part....... Sorry.... The Pub is located in the centre of town with the dual lane road surrounding it, all the scooter and boy racers sit at the lights reving engine's pending the traffic lights to change to green The noise was constant and I had NO SLEEP There was also a Friday night band playing which meant the floor was bouncing but this stopped at a reasonable time although the opposite venue continued to the music into the early hours I didn't sample the food 😕

What a truly wonderful pub/restaurant this is. Cheap as chips, the food is delicious and seems fairly decent quality. Drinks are so reasonably priced. There is a great outside area that has play part for kids with plenty of seating so I would imagine it would be very busy in the summer and it's secured all round with fencing. Great parking at the rear which is play and display and free for I think 3 hours with a blue badge. There is accommodation here too which is quite basic, I didn't stay here myself however my uncle did and showed pictures of the family room. In all fairness they look clean and basic, certainly adequate for somewhere to put your head. I would definitely recommend this place and the staff are lovely too.
