I wanted to share our recent experience with yourselves on Mother’s Day this year. We arrived at around 10:30 and it was clear that it was a very busy day and time at the branch, there were few members of staff around and it was clear that there may have been a staffing issue or the volume of customers exceeded your expectations. The reason I am writing in isn’t because it took a while for our food, or Infact that the food wasn’t quite the temperature we expected, I’m writing in because you can understand this on such a busy day but what was a pleasant surprise was the way a certain member of your team went above and beyond to make everyone’s experience the best that she could make it. Whilst we were waiting for our food this lady was clearing plates and cleaning tables, she saw we were struggling to use the drinks machine as it was out of milk. She informed us that she doesn’t deal with the food/drinks but she will find out what to do an assist us, moments later she was back with milk in hand and worked her way through helping us, I understood how to fill the machine and offered to finish it myself so she can continue with what she was doing but she insisted that she helped us the best she could. In the next 5/10 minutes it was clear that there was a back log on orders and the bar/waiting staff were struggling, I watched her roll up her sleeves and get stuck in, serving, offering assistance, answering queries and above all apologising for the delays. It was clear she was doing all she could to ensure that everyone was catered to and didn’t suffer due to any delays or issues. I feel that this member of staff has gone above and beyond on this day and as such deserves to be recognised for the professionalism and commitment that she has shown your company and your customers. Please pass our personal thanks and I really hope this goes towards giving her the recognition she deserves. If your company rewards their staff whether it be a colleague of the month or bonus then I would love to put her...
Read more1st time visiting this wetherspoons outlet because we were in the area yesterday and hungry (Thursday mid afternoon). Food we ordered came quite quickly and was nice (tho a little on the cool side) but there were a couple of girls near the fireplace.. one who was in charge of a young baby... who were quite drunk and were shouting and swearing and being generally loud and the one with the baby was even laughing about the fact she'd been barred because of her behaviour a few times too! However, even tho there was a couple of floor staff about, at no stage did anyone approach them to ask them to keep their noise down! Terrible when you have to sit near to them cos of which tables were free... and the fact there were elderly people and some families in there too listening to her potty mouth which was very disrespectful, and so as soon as we had eaten we left.... and noticed quite a few others looking at them and leaving too. So yes...we won't be rushing back anytime soon if it's not controlled in there like it should be in a public place....

Update -22-3-2018 I have recently criticised this pub on various aspects but today I have to offer something more positive. On my visit last evening (21-3-2018 ) a female who is barred entered the pub. She was approached by a staff member and asked to leave. She then let loose a torrent of abuse and foul and threatening language which lasted for well over half an hour. The member of staff displayed incredible patience and professionalism during which he was threatened and verbally abused but stood his ground and kept the situation under control. She eventually ran out of steam and insults and left to a round of applause (for the staff ) from the customers present. The staff's name is Connor and I would like to say a big "Well done "from myself and also on behalf of all present. He did a...
