A nice Asian fusion restaurant in the heart of Prestwich. We came on the recommendation of various different people, and had a bit of a mixed experience. We booked for 2 but probably didn't need to as it had just opened (at 12) and wasn't very busy. Although I'd probably recommend booking if you're coming at peak time as I think they can get very busy. We ordered a couple of small plates (salmon karaage, short rib, bang bang cauliflower), a sushi roll (salmon bomb) and inari nigiri (tofu pockets). The small plates were actually very generous portions and we probably ordered too much, but if you're with a larger group then it'll be perfect. The salmon karaage was nice, very crispy but also not overcooked or too oily. The bang bang cauliflower was also crispy and saucy, but I think the cauliflower was a bit overcooked and too mushy. I enjoyed the braised short rib, there was a lot of meat on the bone but it was a little dry. Not too much of a problem because there's a lot of sauce to go with it. Unfortunately the sushi roll was disappointing. The rice was overcooked as was the salmon tempura filling. It tasted a bit like day-old salmon tempura, very chewy. The overall flavour was nice though, and we still ate it all. We wondered if maybe it was because we came at opening time so they had leftover ingredients from the day before to use up. I'd probably still come again to try their other small plates, but may avoid the sushi next time. The interior is very nice and welcoming, as are the staff.

Sadly, it's not the best, in my opinion. The downstairs entrance area seemed very chaotic, and the staff rushing to fulfil Deliveroo orders. Got seated, not quite sure how to navigate the menu, which seems confusing, but settled on maki rolls, Korean beef and rice, kaarage chicken, prawn tempura and bang bang cauliflower, Asian slaw. Making rolls were decent, as was the Korean beef and the kaarage chicken. Sadly, tempura batter on the prawns is not proper tempura batter, more like chip shop fish batter, which is what the cauliflower was coated in, too. Tempura batter is light and crispy. Was underwhelmed by both dishes. Bang bang cauliflower was claggy, pieces too thick, and drowned in a strange sauce. Asian slaw was overly salty. Service was pleasant, decore is a bit questionable, fake plants dangling from the ceiling, chairs quite uncomfortable plastic things.

Have been here 3 times now in as many months. I go for the poke bowls, so many options to make them varied as you pick the different items you want in them. They are delicious with very fresh ingredients and are amazing value for money. The bowls are really filling , especially if have the sticky rice but we couldn’t resist the salt & pepper chips, I can’t not have them even though I know I’m going to be full to the brim ! All the staff are friendly and very welcoming and knowledgable about the menu for if you have any questions. I’ve been here before with friends but took my husband and he wants to go back , that’s ok with me !!

I’ve been a long standing customer of codis kitchen over the past few years and all has been fantastic. Unfortunately over the past month or so I have attempted to eat with them only to be left disappointed and dissatisfied with the customer service. I’ve called up twice to book a table on a weekday night only to be what can only be described as shouted at on the phone and told no more orders, I then asked when they would be taking more orders and the staff member couldn’t tell me. I asked if I could book a table for later on in the evening when they were less busy and was almost laughed at for trying. I understand that they are very busy but their standard of customer service recently is non existent and definitely a stark contrast to how the service used to be. Not only this, the past few times I have been successful in getting a table or a takeaway, we have been sat waiting and waiting with the food has been a real let down, the cauliflower, my personal favourite, now tasting wet and cold, the portion sizes massively being cut down and the rice dishes tasting like mush. All of the above has ensured that I won’t be back any time soon and really do hope that they pull it back together because, I know it can be outstanding from past...

This is the first time I eat in the restaurant. I have ordered a takeaway twice more than two years ago. 💁🏻‍♀️The staff were mostly helpful and attentive. 🍗the Kara-age fried chicken, Asian slaw and seared beef roll - the beef was lovely, could be more tender some a little tough but over all delicious. ❌We ordered half half filling of rolls but the dishes comes mixed up and we have to figure things out ourselves, they didn’t tell us this so at the end the order was mixed up and the Sunset rolls were no where to be seen. I asked (& showed the staff one roll that was left) if it was the sunset roll that supposed to have mango, prawn and tuna in it, it wasn’t as there were just seared salmon and cucumber and she insisted it was the correct one. ⚡️They did give us 8 piece of seared beef roll on the house which is nice of them. 🐟the quality of raw fish could be a bit better for the price it charged. 🍚the chef could do a lot of improvement of the rice, they were awful. Super overcooked, it was beyond sticky, it was mushy and clumpy. Sushi rice is not supposed to be like this. 🍗 there was barely any meat on the £8 chicken wings :( ❌The tables were wobbly and rocky, more stability...
