Lovely new place in prestwich, been in a few times for a coffee always been served by a lovely pleasent young girl behind the bar who I think was called Jade we did ask but i cant remember. Affter chatting with her and asking about the food menu and her telling us the wide variety of options we had for brunch and sunday lunch etc and how nice it was we decided to give it a go. It was lovely to hear someone who worked there saying nice things about the place and taking there time to explain there future plans for example the outside area and down stair bar. When we came in Saturday to try the food at the evening we asked a young lad behind the bar with dark hair for a table to 2 as he was stood doing nothing and the restraunt staff wasnt there he then decided to finish his conversation before actually getting us a table, he wasnt very welcoming atall and definatly a negative for the lovely place he talked to us like he was having a chat with his friends and like we were such an inconvinience as we interupted his chat in which he was moaning about work with another colleague. I know we all like a moan but not infront of paying customers. However never the less the food was amazing the service a little slow in the restraunt but they were all really friendly and was definatly worth the wait as everything was perfect. We decided to move on into the bar for a few drinks affter we had settled our bill, we were served by happy lad this time with longish curly hair lovely and chatty and very quick which he needed to be as the guy who seated us proceed to look like a spare part behind the bar watching everyone work. We stayed for a few but we were then served by the original bar tender again and decides to leave affrer that as his attitide and bad language behind the bar just had a negative impact on our lovely visit. Lovely place nicely decorated and Jade was so welcoming on our first few visits which made us come back and amazing food. Definatly would of been a 5 star however the experience with the rude staff knocked it down hopefully this was a one of and definatly will try again on a weekend and still go in the day for my coffee. Definatly an asset to prestwich however a little customer service training may be needed but...

11/04/25: new menu! 07/02/25: Excellent coffee mocha though! 06/09/24: 17/07/24: Shindigger Brewery: Mango Unchained 4.2% 30/04/24: Revellers: Orchard Pig cider 17/04/24: Northern Monk Brewery: Faith & Peach hazy pale ale 4.5%. 15/04/24: Northern Monk Brewery: Faith & Peach hazy pale ale 4.5%. 09/04/24: Revellers: Orchard Pig cider 17/03/24: St. Patrick's Day. Guinness and Baby Guinness 05/03/24: Vocation Brewery: Death by Cherries sour, Revellers: Orchard Pig cider. Met an absolute gent tonight. So friendly (not that I'd argue with him). He was late 20 minutes for a new date but hopefully he made up for it by getting straight to the bar and not getting too delayed by papperazzi!

27/01/24: Vocation Brewery: Death by Cherries sour

09/07/23: it's been a while but so glad to be off work and enjoying the chilled open mic night vibes again! Great sesh tonight!

06/06/23: very quiet tonight, but enjoyed a Guinness and some chilled music. Not warm enough for outside, and sadly the new BBQ station wasn't up and running. Must remember food is only 10am-4pm, and Quiz nights are Thursday at 8pm.

19/02/23: really disappointed tonight, it was like a full moon had happened. 2 quite disrespectful groups. The first some oil riggers, let back on shore after 6 months, drinking as though they'd never seen it before. The second just shouting to each other and then managed to smash 3 glasses in the space of 5 minutes, which they found hilarious. Tarauds Open Mic nights are usually spot on, but tonight we had to reassure 2 participants that the crowd is not usually that disrespectful.

February 2023: open mic night still going strong!

September 2022: another photo & video update. The usual great Sunday Open Mic Night vibes! Such a varied mix of artists but also a few regulars too!

May 2022: loving the Sunday vibes with Open Mic Night, organised by Taurud. Great artists performing an eclectic mix each week from 7pm., although live music starts at 5pm. Ends with a jam session. The highlight over the last couple of weeks has been Mark Shepherd on guitar and Psypirate Josh playing a Sitar. Some great vocals, harmonies and a little bit of...

Booked for Mother’s Day, server was fantastic very prompt with drinks orders and taking our food order. We were seated at a table facing a door to the outside and a 80inch tv beside us (almost like a conference room), people coming in and out all the time which made it very cold in the area where we were seated. Food arrived fairly promptly, one of our party had a kids portion which was the same as a normal portion on a smaller plate. The usual portions came with one slice of meat and trimmings being a square of stuffing, one carrot, broccoli, roast potato’s, a parsnip and a Yorkshire pudding (gravy was served underneath the Yorkshire pudding so the Yorkshire was dry), another member of the party ordered the Cheshire pork, which arrived 95% fat including what some people would call crackling and 5% meat. Why this left the kitchen is beyond me, as it replicated a scene from Gordon Ramseys kitchen nightmares. Said scene involved Gordon sending the dish directly back to the kitchen in a fit of rage due to the chefs lack of attention in serving sub par dish out to customers. Whilst we understand this isn’t a Gordon Ramsey restaurant, we expect a chef to serve food that is above a pub/grub experience. In reference to the kids portion that one of the party received, the fact that this married the adult portions but was over £10 cheaper suggests that there is no conception between what an adult would eat and a child under 10 would eat. In addition the menu is very limited and offered little variation in between a Sunday roast and...

Disappointing Sunday roast. We were asked how we liked our roast beef cooked – pink or well-done, and like any normal human being, we asked for pink. Yet, the beef arrived overcooked. It was also drowned in Bisto-tasting gravy that was excessively salty. The only redeeming element was the root veggies, which was not what we came here for. Additionally, we attempted to book a table by calling the number at least six times during trading hours, but no one answered. Why bother putting a contact number on the website if it's not going to be answered? At least they’re dog-friendly, I guess? Edit: After posting my review several weeks ago, a member of staff named Racheal responded asking me to reach out, but has since been ghosting me – I guess it’s just for show.

As a Prestwich resident I was so excited to have Folk come here, as I love the one in Didsbury. The food on the photo below is their mushroom hash, so good with the sourdough. Went again yesterday and devoured their breakfast burrito, hence no photo as I was starving. The burrito was also very tasty, packed with black beans, egg and avocado. My only criticism is the price of the burrito at £8.95 which I thought was a little steep as the burrito came with no side and is relatively small. I paid the same price for the mushroom hash was definitely worth it. Looking forward to coming for some drinks one evening.

7/5/23 Went back again today, just for drinks this time, there was a BBQ lit outside cooking some tasty burgers, don't know if this is a regular thing (I hope it is) or if it was just for the coronation. Being a fan of Top gun, I had the Maverick IPA, it was very nice. There was some pictures of old groups on the wall which gave it an interesting look, we tried to guess them but could only name a few. All day breakfast was amazing last time we were here.
