We went to the Hamers Arms when it was recommended to us which was just after it’s grand reopening in May and I can definitely say it was well worth the journey, this is a proper country style looking pub restaurant with a modern clean, fresh looking feel to it on the inside which combined with a great atmosphere, super friendly staff, great ale, awesome food with generous sized portions made this an enjoyable evening for us all. I do like my pub grub and this is definitely well worth a visit so hats off to all the staff and chef and don’t change a thing, you’ve nailed it. 👍🏻🍻

We went in today with my mother in law for some lunch. The place looks absolutely stunning with he refurb and I wish it well. The new chef is still finding her feet, but the food was delicious. The chips were a little cold and slightly overdone - which would be fine with chunky chips, but not fries. The mother in law had the haddock and said it was one of the best she has ever had. The batter was absolutely perfect. A big thumbs up for the rhubarb crumble as well. Very nice. We will definitely be back - to check the chips. :)
