The Village Bistro Greenmount — Restaurant in Bury

We attempted to order through just eat and then the restaurant stopped taking orders resulting in an order being made on the phone direct. There was a difference between the price on just eat and direct with just eat being cheaper and you get a free garlic bread through just eat but not direct? The wait time was 1hr 30 mins for collection and when turning up at the time slot given we were told to wait a further 15 minutes so they could serve a big table in the restaurant? The order was then incorrect with a main dish missing and a main dish which wasn’t ordered being given to us and charged for although refunded. A side of veg was ordered but it was a side salad which was given which again was wrong. Overall, the experience was very very poor and not worth the near two hour wait for the order to be wrong even when the person on the phone reconfirmed the order. Not...

First visit for me, about the 8th visit for my wife. Great decor, excellent, extensive menu. The food is really good with great flavour and portion sizes. Definitely worth booking as it’s a popular place. Great service too. Looking forward to going back again.

Update Sat 17th Feb. We returned to the bistro again, this evening, with friends. I honestly love this restaurant. The food was excellent, all four of us really had a great evening, starters and mains all round. I had a king prawn cocktail followed by the triple fish main- half sea bass, half salmon and king prawns in a butter and lemon sauce. I absolutely loved it, it really was an outstanding dish and one I would happily and definitely eat again. The place was full again, a great sign and the staff, both in the kitchen and front of house did a wonderful job. Impeccable! 6 stars this...

Went today for lunch with a couple of friends to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Never been before and hadn't realised it was not licensed but that was not a problem, could buy wine etc at local shop and be charged a corkage fee. Lovely wine and beer glasses provided. The food was amazing and very reasonable and the portion sizes excellent especially as you could choose a smaller portion if you wanted one.
