We came to open our iftar here 2 days ago. We regretted it. Wanted to eat in. Drove from Bolton as the one in Bolton apparently is now permanently closed.
Extreme chaos. First of all I was with my wife, and we come in to order just to find out they don’t accept card. The original person who tried to take my order told me they only take cash and simply walked away whilst saying nothing, the manager then came and told the original person to finally take my order and I told him to as I rather have it ordered and in that time I’ll go withdraw cash. He didn’t know much English which again delayed the process, as it took him some time to understand my order. Whilst my wife waited inside for 20 minutes I was outside looking for a cash machine. On top of that it was heavily raining. There is no cash machine nearby you have to go to M&S (which was closed in the evening) or Tesco which takes 20 minutes there and back minimum.
Absolutely ruined my mood. What kind of successful franchise doesn’t accept card? Yet they’re happy to take orders via UberEats.
Anyways finally came back and paid. It then took them 40 minutes to serve us our food. Oodles is not some fancy restaurant that needed this long. They knew from the beginning we were eating in. Yet all their deliver orders came first as priority. Anyways after the atmosphere was terrible too, all we could hear was extremely loud shouting between the manager and the workers in the kitchen. Not a moment of peace. We could also hear swearing in Urdu.
The food was still decent but didn’t enjoy it at all after everything.
Before we left the manager did kind of apologise for the service but this was simply not good enough. Will not be back to eat in. Left a bitter taste...
Read moreBasically paid 41 pounds for 3 items. The items were supposed to be large and with shrimp included. Got 1 shrimp on the box. Got small boxes instead. In the app with red bold letters you have the deal : buy 1 get 1 free on the “create your own large” item. I’ve bought 3 of it and got 0 free items.
To top it up , I proceed to complain soon as I got the order home but the only customer service I’ve been receiving is provided by AI who keeps telling me I just bought one item lol. Ridiculous, and I’m not even surprised, thats the worst part. It’s normal now in the uk to scam people out of apps and electronics. They have no guts or balls to do it in IRL. It’s been days over this and the only human that spoke to me about this was the poor delivery driver who agreed with me and deserved the 5 stars rating but unfortunately the restaurant didn’t honoured us.
To this day , no refund… Just be aware , people who leaves reviews with anything more than 2 stars to restaurants like this are part of the problem...
Read moreI visited Oodle Bury today (12/9/24) specifically for their £4.95 value box offer, which runs from 11am-3pm. I walk past the place and see the offer poster and I had few minutes spare thought to have a small bite. I arrived at 11:20am, well after the offer should have started, yet the staff member tried to get the price but it kept being full price and paid drink where in offer drink is free, the staff member kept telling me the offer wasn't on yet. When I pointed out the time, they still refused to honour it.
There was absolutely no effort to resolve the issue or offer any sort of compromise, and the staff member seemed indifferent to the situation. I came specifically for the offer that’s been running for a while, and it was incredibly frustrating to be treated like this. So after this lack of customer service I choose to leave the place.
This kind of poor service and lack of care for customers is unacceptable. I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend Oodle Bury to anyone who values...
