I can not offer a rating on the food as I never received any. This rating is purely based on the customer experience. I placed my order on the website nice and early and selected the first collection time which was 6.25pm I arrive just before and waited, and waited and waited with no signs of anyone coming to open the store. I called no answer obviously it's not opening up so I left. I had a chat with the next door business and they said they don't always open on Saturday and there were a few customers in the same situation. I had a hungry child and girlfriend in the car, eventually we left. My gf called again at 7.30pm because obviously we wanted our money back and luckily someone was there to answer the phone. It was the owner himself who started by being SO rude to my gf!!! He brought in that they are Jewish and if we knew Jewish law and the exit of shabbat that ended at 6.24 WE should have known he will not have time to prepare any food at 6.25!!! Actually no, why are YOU allowing customers to order and sending them order confirmations and taking their money, knowing you will not be open? The owner said he is rich and does not need my money, he will give us the money back. In a completely ridiculous unfolding he started apologize AFTER he was aggressively rude, and gave us his number so we can call and be taken care of when we order again. What kind of behaviour is this?!?? Surreal. Very disappointed in the end I hope to try the food at some point...
Read moreStaff are another level of rudeness. I did an uber eats order and they missed items off. They were so rude and told me to come to the shop to pick it up - what's the point of uber eats then?! I asked them politely to send it by taxi so they hung up on me. They put the phone down on me twice, and another time just left the phone on & put it down on the shop counter, and ignored me. Attitude is abysmal. I asked for the owner's phone number to complain, they hung up again on me. The food is good but Every time I order I have issues. I won't be reordering from here. Teach your staff some basic manners! Once you've done that, you can reply to my review, don't bother otherwise.
Further to your reply, uber was NOT the issue, your staff are the REAL issue. They are so rude, and it's not my first experience with their bad and inexcusable behaviour. Don't shift the blame pretending it was uber, your staff messed up my order. Uber are excellent. Sadly can't say the same about your staff. visited again tonight, (our anniversary) and was very impressed. I orded a steak asked for medium and got a welldone steak instead,! and the waiter very kindly had a fresh 1 grilled for me to perfection!...!! Tyvm!
The rest of the food was also a very good standard,
The only thing I can suggest is to speed things up a bit, we waited 45 min for main course and 20 min just to pay because there was only 2 staff upstairs and they were soo busy They just didnt have time to take payment, I think they could do with more staff and a more dedicated kitchen for the restaurant side so you feel you are getting the top notch service they are trying to give upstairs,
