Park Life Cafe is a brilliant cafe... with a wide range of foodto choose from. The food is fantastic and the setting just great. The staff are friendly and the prices very reasonable. The park consists of a small children's play area for most ages. There is a gym area with outdoor equipment for older children and adults which is free. There is an open grassed area for playing football or just having a kick about. Around the park are lots of benches to sit watch and ponder! There are also lots of places to have a picnic and picnic benches is the children's play area. Would recommend. The park is a short walk from the train station and near to the centre of Hebden Bridge. The canal runs between the park and town. You can have a walk on the canal path and look at the many canal boats.

I get my kicks on Route 66 Favourites are Toffee Ripple Crunch ice cream in a two scoop tub with chocolate sprinkles. Have this with one of Charlie's awesome cakes. Or ask for a Nick Butty, go on, I dare you. There's free Wi-Fi and some charging ports in the corner. Don't be surprised to wait when it's busy - It's only a little kitchen and everything is made to order. Bring your menagerie or your ear plugs.

Great little cafe in Calder Holmes park serving cakes, coffee and ice cream, just by the canal and minutes from Hebden Bridge Main Street. Two separate queues for ordering with one cash only to speed things up. Was busy due to the hot weather and a busy park, but served quickly and friendly.

At first, I was going to write a 5-star review, but I was utterly disappointed by the rude customer service from the manager in the end towards young people. The treatment I received from the manager was appalling, DISRESPECTFUL and unwelcoming. My friend paid for a £1.50 tea but ended up spilling it before he could drink it as the lid wasn't sealed properly on the cup, and he ended up with a burn on his hand. At first, the manager gave a gesture of goodwill by giving us another one but then started criticising us young people that we got given a 'free' drink and for stealing the business by borrowing a few stools that we returned and wasn't needed at all the entire time! This experience ruined our entire Hebden Bridge journey. If your visiting Hebden bridge, there are MANY better alternatives in town that are kind...

Haven't yet tried the Park Life Cafe though it looks pleasant enough. My main criticism is the utterly appalling state of the adjoining toilets, which we used yesterday. The toilets had no soap, no toilet roll, which meant we had to use wipes which we had with us. Unfortunately there were no bins to put rubbish in, nor any bin specifically for sanitary products. Considering how busy Hebden Bridge and the park are, especially coming into the warmer weather, the owners really need to step up on their cleaning and checking of these facilities, as they are currently a major health hazard, and do not give a favourable impression of Hebden Bridge. Whoever has responsibility for these toilets should be utterly ashamed...
