The guys in the kitchen are fabulous & the food is of great quality.
Iāve never been disappointed but some things have changed that in my opinion are just a general sign of things to come as we all struggle.
I asked for a (singular) pitta which is usually a little extra but I was given 2 which was then charged as a plate of chips. I thought it wasteful cause I only needed the one which is what I asked for.
I had the money ready to pay in cash but they put a āservice chargeā on my bill that wasnāt mentioned anywhere & I like to leave my own tips so I was left wondering how that figures out, thatās new and I paid with my card.
I like it where āwhat you see is what you get & you get what you ask forā.
Iāve had about 15 (literally) birthday meals there over time but Iām going to be giving it a miss in future.
If you were there with company for a party meal & everyone was working out their part of the bill only to have some mystery amount thrown on at the end, that will surely be a source of embarrassment for some folk unless the Birthday person picks it up at the end.
I think a singular Pitta should be an option on your sides & that all pricing is transparent.
Last time a few of us were in & we noticed that a couple of waitresses were wearing intense scowls & being short (I said that it wasnāt usual but then I had it again today).
*Good value for money but no-one really appreciates concealed costs when eating out.
I think itās a shame as itās been my go-to place for consistency & friendly service for years.
*Lovely guys that are great at cooking from the heart.. hope things...
Read moreWe ate there on Saturday night, 4 of us, and as we had not eaten there before, we decided to have the Meze (which all four of us had eaten before at various Greek restaurants). The cold starter first course came and it was on a big wooden platter and looked very nice, it consisted of two Greek (Hummus & Tzatziki) dips, salad & pulses, pitta bread and 1 dolmades each. The next course was a piece of Salmon each!! After that was a course of chicken kebab, then a course of meatballs (1 each), then a course of Stifado on the bone (1 between two people) and that was it!! Now for £27.95 each I thought there would have been more than that. At my local Greek restaurant, this is what you get for £28.95. First Course - Pitta bread, Tzatziki, Taramosalata, Skordalia, Houmous, Tahini & Greek salad. Second Course - Calamari, Scampi, King Prawns Third Course - Halloumi, Keftedes, Lountza, Loukaniko Fourth Course - Paidakia, Chiken or Pork Souvlaki & chips. Dessert & coffee included. That is a proper Green meze, you don't expect to get salmon!! As for the quality of the food, it was all ok apart from the meatballs which were a bit bland and the Stifado was very fatty. Oh, and they had no Ouzo!! Very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely love this place. The food was incredible. I had the Sucuk for a starter. This tasted amazing. The sauce that it comes out in was delicious. It was great for dipping bits of pitta in. Love Tzatziki so we had to try that too and it didn't fail to disappoint. Again this was great for dipping and nice and light before our main. Being a greek resteraunt I wanted to keep things traditional so i opted for Moussaka. This was amazing - absolutely delicious. Only thing that slightly let it down on the night is that staff forgot part of our order. We had to remind them to bring it out. But unfortunately by the time we had finished our meals it still wasnt ready so we had to cancel it which was disappointing. Let me say though the food here is absolutely delicious. The menu is great and has a wide variety of choice. The prices are very reasonable as the food is exceptional. This is easily one of the top resteraunts in this area and the surrounding areas and one of my favourite places to visit. I can't wait to come back again to try out more of the menu. And i would highly recommend visiting if you haven't...
