Five Guys is literally in a league of its own when it comes to "fast food". You choose from a small burger (one patty) or a large burger (two pattys) they also have hot dogs, BLT and grilled cheese. Once you've decided on the base you then get a choice - without limit - of toppings and sauces from the usual grilled onions, ketchup and mustard to grilled mushrooms etc. Your burger is wrapped in a sheet of foil to kee0 it hot and if you order as a couple or family there will be a sticker on the burger with a number on that matches what you ordered and is itemised and numbered on the receipt. The fries - five guys style - are incredible but be warned they are cooked in peanut oil so the whole place is a no go for those with allergies. The soft drinks are refillable and there are machines in store to choose flavours etc. If you can tolerate milk, always have a milkshake, same deal, loads of flavours, mix them, have just one but try one, malted milk is so gorgeous it makes me want to cry, sure heavenly hosts appear when you take the first sip! It's not a cheap place to eat we went recently and two meals with a milkshake each was in the region of £35. Well...
Read moreFirst time visiting a Five Guys...I don't think I'll go to another one. There were few options as it was raining (coffee shops full) and eating at MacArthurGlen it's pretty poor. First thing is the prices, wow, they aren't just expensive, it's unreasonable. Next, where's the kids options? They don't exist. Next the staff weren't particularly helpful...then the strawberry milkshake was awful (hoped for much more at that price). And no small drinks for small kids. On the plus side the burger tasted good..was it good enough to justify its cost, not really. The whole package of the place just doesn't add up, especially with young children. A disappointing visit.
UPDATE: Thanks for the response Five Guys but I have to dispute the statement about quality. I'd advise UK management make an undercover visit to this store. The presentation of food is awful. The burgers looked like they'd been dropped on the floor and stood on. Thankfully they tasted better than they looked. And the fries were all dumped in the bottom of the bag. The more I think about it the more I recommend others not to go. And no you don't have options for...
Read moreTotally terrible experience!! visited this site today Sunday the 12th of June 22 … 2x bunless hamburgers with fries lettuce and tomatoes for almost £26.00, what a rip off , I specifically told the person on the till that I’m dairy and gluten free, guess what I got with my bunless burger “dairy-mayo” daughter wanted mustard with her hamburger, she’s got none.. never eaten such a dismal pathetic meal ever in my life.. I thought the fries were supposed to be crispy, but we’re cold and floppy and overcooked with absolutely no seasoning.. Burgers were tasteless just basic cheap meat,.. The restaurant was filthy rubbish was everywhere … lots of inexperienced young staff Only small positive was that when I took my food back and complained, a young black girl, didn’t get her name.. she was super helpful and apologetic, she sorted my meal out.. However by than good 25 mins gone with daughter waiting for me with cold food .. in total 45 mins of wasted time for 2x tasteless cheap burger , it was an experience I don’t want to...
