Savannah's Tea Room — Restaurant in Cannock Chase

Visited recently and really enjoyed my meal, service was slow but it was busy and they did apologise for the delay. Lots of items are hand/home made, I saw some of the salads which looked lovely and fresh too. Only complaint would be the seats being metal made them very uncomfortable and has put me off returning as I had a bad back all that evening from them. Such a shame as I really enjoyed the food and the staff are all lovely. They had some comfy looking chairs but they were only for low down tables to just have a drink at not for eating meals. Perhaps I'll just have to sit there and only have a toastie next time. Would really love it if the chairs were changed to accommodate those of us with chronic pain...people I was with also complained of discomfort though and they are fit and well. We went to day about 1 30 and no one explained we needed to go up to the counter to place our order. After 10 minutes I made the order and paid for it. Tea and coffee were left on the counter for us to collect. We waited another least 30 minutes, our toasted sandwiches were brought after i had asked where they were. My toasted sandwich was black on both sides. I brought it back and asked for it to be redone. My husband had finished his when mine finally arrived. I was very disappointed as we had been before on a Tuesday and service was excellent and we were really pleased we found gluten free priducts. Had breakfast there this morning, it was a very frosty morning and we met some friends for breakfast at 9am. I had the small breakfast my partner had the large breakfast the food was nice, the toast was lovely and thick but what spoiled it for me was the breakfast was only luke warm so was stone cold by the time I had finished, I like my food and the plate that it is served on to be hot, I know that is not for everyone but how difficult can it be to serve food hot, it is a large room to heat but it was,nt overly warm in there so the food being hot would have been much appreciated and made all of...
