The Mossley Tavern — Restaurant in Cannock Chase

Ive only been here 3 times, but the guiness is loveley, the canal side outside is smashing, the folks are all good and ive never tried the dartboard as i was enjoying my guiness to much, simple fact , lovely pub, never tried the food so shall give it a middle rating, great lady behind the bar and her hubbies belly i think as drunk the profitt....HOW MANY KEBABS YOU HAD...all the tesco pies have dissappeared.......sack him before he eats rugeley....this guy puts rolls in his breakfast, with kebab meat, a tub of mayonaisse, 24 lb of grilled beef, 42lb left over chickens and a pike if its going on the canal side....he!....he!.....the pub is wonderful and the drink is a good proper price, cannot pop at the big guy to much, he...

From out of town on a work trip and called in on the way back to the hotel on a hot day.

It was only 5pm so not many people about but the place has a nice vibe and is in a lovely spot right on the canal. Salt IPA was decent and not overpriced. Visited a few pubs round the area briefly, and I guess if I was local, this would probably be the one...

Very good meal small portions are big enough for the average eater, large portion would be a struggle. We got cream potatoe, roast potatoe, fresh carrots, sprouts, garden peas, choice of meats, yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese and gravy. All piping hot and served with a smile to your table real...
