Colliers Table Table — Restaurant in Cannock Chase

Went here for the first time, called prior to coming manager or supervisor that answered the phone was very sarcastic. Upon arrival didn't feel the gentlemen was very welcoming. Was ask what drinks wanted didn't being exactly over what I ask for ( ask for Pepsi and water lemon n line with ice, he replied in a different tone just water right) clearly had a bad day, but should remain professional and calm not take it out of customers. ( after all people like myself that pay your wages). Took ten minutes to be served, waitess walked pass us at least 5times before coming over. Had to mention bout my drinks twice. Was advised that the drinks would be brought over once we place arw order..🤔 once we ordered drinks were brought over to us. ( not sure why we were ask what drink we wanted if it was going to take ten mins to bring it over. Gentlemen arrived shortly after us, his drinks were brought within 2-3 mins sitting down😮 Food came out within ten mins, food was perfect😍. Server was very polite and friendly. Even ask if we needed anything else, ask how our meals are. Waitress serving us dissapeared, reappeared towards end of us finishing our meal, asking if the meal was okay🤔 I ask if we could have the bill. Overall the experience wasn't great, if it werent for the server would of got 1 star. Person who greeted us needs to work on his customer services skills. ( everytime I ask a question he was sarcastic, every pub is different, and don't all operate the same way. for e.g some pubs you have to pay at the till, can choose where you sit. Weren't aware that you had to be escorted to the table and the waitrer/waitress comes to take your order. Was very cold in the pub also, was sitting near the fire exit door. Would not visit this particular pub but would go to other...

Unlikely we'll be eating here again. I've had problems in the past at The Colliers, regarding poor service, but the last couple of visits there had been fine. However, this evening my husband and I visited, having booked a table for 7pm. There was nobody around to greet us when we arrived, and when someone eventually led us to our table, we were told there was a 30 minute wait due to the kitchens being too hot for the chef to cook in at his usual pace! A whole hour went by before our food arrived. There was no apology for the wait or any updates from the waiting staff during the hour, even though several passed our table and could see we were still not eating. Although it was a hot evening, the restaurant was not husy, so we couldn't understand why it took so long.

Condidering we both ordered giant fish and chips, the fish was normal size, with only a small portion of chips and peas. We were both still hungry after eating, and had to order puddings. When asked about our food, my husband complained about the portion size and I complained that the batter was very rubbery and not cooked properly. The waitress offered us more chips, which we refused, as we didn't want any further delays. She said she would discuss things with us later, after we had finished eating, but nothing was discussed further when we paid the bill. Not even an apology for the wait.

Sorry Colliers, but I can't risk booking any more meals with you as, not only has the service been far too slow on several occasions, but the standard of food seems to have slipped too. Further, and most importantly, you have no customer service...

Terrible. First visit tonight. Waited at the front for a seat, 2 people said they will find us a seat then dissapeared for 5 mins each, eventually we were sat down (it was not busy at all) then we waited 15 mins for drinks, no one came so my partner went to the bar as we thought maybe you have to order at the bar, 5 mins later she hadnt been served and a lady came to our table to take drinks orders, this is now nearly 25 mins from entering. Drinks came 5 mins later and food came out 15 mins later, we were asked if we wanted any sauces, asked for mayo, it didn't come for 10 minutes, by which time id already finished my meal, the guy apologised and said he asked someone to bring it but they forgot. We ordered two sides of garlic flatbread, both never came at all. We told the waitress when we asked for the bill and she didn't apologise she just said ill take it off the bill!!? I was gobsmacked. Also asked for bacon on my burger but I never got it. When paying the bill the same waitress walked off round the corner for about 2 minutes and we ripped the receipt out of the machine ourselves so we could leave and she thanked us for doing her job and said you can come again. She also asked us if everything had been ok......like none of the conversions before had happened. hahaha. most bizzare experience and worst service I've ever received in a pub. Will never return here again, Burger was like something off a burger van and chips were definitely frozen oven chips. Its not even cheap for the awful food and...
