Blueprint Coffee and Books cafe was our friend's suggestion, so with a slight hesitation (as Whistable has dozens of places with atmosphere and entourage similar to Blueprint), me and my family headed to it after we arrived to Whistable Railway Statation. Firstly, I must admit that the location is nearly perfect - it is right at the beginning of the High Street and about 8 minutes walk from station. Secondly, I am the person who prefers calm and tranquil places like local libraries, but feels a bit embarressed to have any food or drinks inside, so my review may be a bit biased towards that. Nevertheless, the cafe is perfect spot for me as it is one of the (if not the only) quietest I have ever visited! I also love the limited amount of seats and the use of sounds of the instuments or really dim music instead of doggy pop songs, which stick in your head and distract from studying or working. As for food, I had a chance to try Cinnamon Stroll and Almond Croissant, which are both delicious and fresh. Additionaly, latte was also up to a standard of independant coffee shops lattes and the barrister (shame I didn't ask his name) was polite and friendly chap. Overall, I recomended it to those people, who like me, would enjoy the atmosphere, but it could be a disadvantage for some. (P.S. You can always go for...
Read moreI would be quite happy to try this place for a coffee but they have been closing early so too late for me. When we did find them open at about 4pm they said sorry we are closing, take away only. I probably will not go back. Update to my review, I did go back, and was served a really excellent Mocha, actually two, they were so good. Cafe is very clean and has a nice ambience. It's small but has a designer feel to it. They also sell a small interesting range of designer stationary and some books and journal's. They know how to provide really good coffee and tea. Small selection of interesting cakes. Will be happy to visit...
Read moreAwful experience at Blueprint, both on the customer side and taste side ! The main manager is just plain rude to customers. Why would anyone go here!?
coffee is one of my passions so seek out the best cafes where I travel… and have trained as a barista . this was an awful taste. My guess is it’s the only place in Whitstable with a specialist coffee machine but they have no clue how to work it. They made me a tepid 4oz macchiato and passed it off as a cortado. Whitstable you deserve...
