Came to the pub with our dog and one member of staff was extremely rude. After having an issue with our dog sitting on a chair.(which I understand and rectified) We then moved our dog onto the lap of myself and the member of staff started shouting and being extremely rude about this.

After politely asking why this was an issue. I was then made to feel extremely uncomfortable by her shouting and pointing at me to the point I ended up leaving the pub.

I was un aware of house rules regarding dogs sitting on the lap of an owner and was only made aware of this when she (staff member) decided to bring a sign over and wave it in my face and if this was the case I would have settled her of the floor. (this could have also been made more clear when entering the pub).

Before this disagreement which could been resolved sooner and if staff were more polite regarding our dog and for myself to feeling the need to leave. The experience was enjoyable. However I would not go back after being spoken...

Proper pub 👌🏼 This place has a real spirit and soul... and a real community of lovely, welcoming locals. The staff will go out of their way for you and the spot itself is a clean and comfy treasure. It's a sports bar so they always have something on but it's never blarey or Leary... I come here to work... tucked away in one of the many quirky little corners. It's the people who really make this place... the manager (or is he the chef or the barman?) Is an absolute gem. This is my favourite pub in all of Whitstable and I've tried everywhere. GORGEOUS grub... I had the spicy goulash... it made my week. 10/10 guys... thanks for being so lovely and pouring such a...

This might have to be the best pub roast we have ever had! It's a proper locals pub with a warm welcome and great service. My husband went for the pork belly which was tender and succulent with a lovely bit of crackling on top. The butternut squash and lentil nut roast was equally delicious. It was served with five different varieties of veg, all cooked to perfection. The roast potatoes were particularly excellent! Yorkshire pudding and stuffing accompanied each roast which is always a good sign, and most importantly there was plenty of gravy. The service was great from all staff despite being jam packed. We can't recommend this...

Booked a table because the England v Scotland Rugby match was on. Good job as the place was full. They had said burgers only. All the burgers had a six nations theme. But I managed to get the regular menu, so I had the bangbang prawns and pork belly bites. My brother had the Irish burger with fries. This was a double beef smash patty with caramelized onions, streaky bacon, and guiness Irish stout bbq sauce. The food was good, hot and tasty. We had a front row table. Great service, so on the way out, we booked for the next match two weeks' time same table. Hope for a better result for England.

Family of 4 visiting Whitstable. I was looking around for some traditional Sunday roast and Ship centurion have the best reviews. OMG !!! What a incredible food !!! Lamb - mouthwatering, perfectly cooked , chicken so soft(kids love it ), horseradish sauce amazing , roast potatoes delicious, big + is great amount of the veggies on the side. 5* is not enough to rate them! Staff are so great and always smiling. Top notch perfect visit !
