Gelateria Whitstable — Restaurant in Canterbury

Went in on 29 March 2023. Bought a large cup, which is 3 scoops. Lady working, identifiable by the white female in about her 30's with a mole on her upper lip, was rude, and couldn't care less about customer service.

To start with she didn't greet me. So I greeted her. She replied grudgingly.

She didn't feel any need to help me. I was browsing the ice cream selection. She just sat there looking at me. I was the only person in the very nice looking night I add, store.

Usually you would get asked if you need help. When I asked her questions about the flavours, her responses were abrupt and with a rude tone. I asked if I could try the cherry flavour. She gave me a bit to try in a small plastic spoon. I chose my flavours. I stood there holding the now empty spoon. She didn't even think to tell me where I could throw it away... But it's the same spoon she put into my ice cream. Why not just tell me I can use the spoon in holding as its the same spoon given to eat the ice cream?!

She asked for payment, but in one hand I've still got the spoon. I ask her where I can put it, she points to a container near the till, and says 'there' but like as if I should have known.

She didn't put one of the flavours I asked for and the scoop sizes weren't equal. She put way too much strawberry. At £5.75, this isn't worth it. I didn't select cherry because it tasted like chemical flavoring. I didn't like any of these ice creams.

For this price you can a tub of haagen dazs ice cream.

Went for the first time on a Tuesday evening at about 7:30pm with my partner and dog after a long day on the beach. We both had a cup with two scoops/flavours, coconut and pistachio for me and he has coconut and blueberry swirl. Absolutely some of the best gelato ever! The girls working there were super helpful! I also had an Americano w/milk and he had a cappaciono, was impressed by the flavour of the coffee! Our dog tried the gelato as well and approved.
