KOKORO Canterbury — Restaurant in Canterbury

Food was amazing when it originally opened, but has slowly but surely declined in food quality. The food just aint the same... and today is the last time i will be visiting there. Had bad food and cant be asked to take the chance with it anymore.

The manager or someone really needs to look into what is going on, as food is just getting bad. Feel like I got a case of the shits coming on after my last meal today... and bought up a little bit on the way home. Just ate a bit then tossed it.

This place used to be the only place in canterbury i would eat as the food was soo good and could trust i would be happy with it everytime... now i debate whether to get it atall. And now... well you lost a regular group of customers. Pls check whats happening. Your food used to be the best takeaway in town ... what happenened.

Update. Food is good and staff are very friendly. My favourite meal being pumpkin katsu and fried rice. Occassionally the sweet and sour chicken is too tough, so dont tend to...

Went to KOKORO Canterbury. The service was standard but I was not given enough information to make a genuine order (I was told the options available but not that you can choose multiple toppings and bases in one order). I decided to have the Chicken Teriyaki. The rice was soggy and very bland, I did notice that it was made in a rice cooker so my guess is that it was sitting there for a while. The chicken teriyaki also tasted slightly undercooked (cooked enough to eat, not raw) and extremely sickly.

I was surprised to see that none of the servers were wearing gloves, which makes it 100% not allergen safe. Compared to a similar buffet style serving experience at Subway or Tortilla, where the servers wear gloves and change...

I used to like this place - it's hard to find relatively good Asian food outside big cities, and I lived in SE Asia many years. But food has been inconsistent; the rice soggy or chicken in the chili chicken overcooked. Or they leave the items to the very dregs before replacing them so you end up getting old stuff. While most of the staff is pleasant, the one manager is curt and officious to the point of making you feel you're annoying him. I'll now be spending my £10 elsewhere; an M&S Madras beef curry hits the spot or I'll cook myself!!! Not to mention something that I failed to mention previously: the overflowing bins and (frequently)...
