Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Carlisle

Went there with my wife as we do on a regular basis although usually the other store at Gateway 44.First impression today was poor.Only two staff with lots of tables needing cleared.My wife had to clear table herself in order to find a seat.Many other people were doing the same.Ordered my breakfast toastie among other things which I had to return as was burnt.Have to say the two staff members were friendly and helpful but were unable to clear tables as well as dealing with a busy service.Not their fault but needs more staff.Poor experience and...

Staff are friendly and service is usually prompt but the last couple of times I've been to this Costa the coffee seems to be a bit off. Unfortunately this has been when I've been in for a takeaway coffee so I'm long gone before I realise my latte tastes like dish water. Maybe some more coffee training is required for some staff? Think I'll be sticking to getting takeaway coffee from the nearby...

The usual Costa outlet, handy for the shops at Kingstown. I arrived at a moderately off peak time and got served quickly. The Barista was pleasant, passing the time of day with me instead of discussing their PTSD caused by confusion over their gender or indeed species with a colleague ( I heard a barista at another brands outlet discussing this very thing) so well done to all at Costa...
