"My recent visit to Greggs left much to be desired. Arriving with my three children around 1 pm for a quick snack, we were met with disappointment upon finding that there were no sandwiches available, let alone warm options. Despite one staff member making a small selection available from the nearly empty fridge, the majority of options were depleted. When I asked if they could prepare a fresh sandwich for my son, I was met with a blunt refusal, with the excuse that 'that's the rules'.
Feeling perplexed by this response, I decided to reach out to customer service, who confirmed that making sandwiches fresh is indeed an option, contingent upon the shop's busyness. This left me feeling frustrated and confused, as the shop was clearly not busy at the time. The pizza we eventually settled for was cold, and even the toasty I managed to acquire wasn't as warm as expected, despite being reheated.
What disappointed me the most was the lack of initiative and care from the staff. Instead of trying to accommodate customer requests, they seemed indifferent and unwilling to go the extra mile. Even when confronted with conflicting information from customer service, the response was dismissive and unapologetic.
Overall, my experience at this particular Greggs location was far from satisfactory. It's disheartening to see such a lack of attention to customer service and satisfaction. Improvement in staff training and a genuine commitment to meeting customer needs is...
Read moreFirst of all, I’d like to say that as of today’s visit to Greggs, Canvey Greggs is now my favourite place on Earth. It really is better than Disneyland and that is all down to the star that is Miss Lily Adams. She served our hot cookies with such a level of precision that I was blown away. She really went above and beyond to make this particular Greggs visit unforgettable. She floated round the store like a cleaning weapon, the crumbs were disappearing as she shot past. I vouch for Lily to go for the position of Greggs CEO. Shall be visiting again and...
Read moreCustomer service is poor. Tottenham cake is pre packaged in clear bags, which means you lose all the icing as the plastic sticks to it and get peeled away from the cake. When i mentioned this to the staff on serving , all she could say was "that's how we are told to sell it" so basically don't buy it if you want icing on your Tottenham cake which is £1.10 a slice now. Poor service and...
